Found out today that my estranged husband is filing bankruptcy, because the house is up for foreclosure and he can't make payments, we are still together on paper, I have not lived there since 2005, I guess I am going down with him, has anyone been thru this and how bad is it? Credit ruined for awhile?

ever had to declare bankruptcy? and how bad is it? I was just informed by the guy that I still never divorced that his credit is so bad we need to declare bankrupcy? He is in the house and can not pay the mortgage, he has several businesses that failed, he's in a mess, and since I am still his legal wife, I'm in it too. The attorned says bankruptcy is not that bad,but I just googled some stuff, and it looks pretty bad to me, anybody been thru this?

Sure is matter of fact just got out of one of those type of issues.... Way too many red flags for me so I had to back out gently and let them know it just was not there for me..... 
It is not a easy thing to do at times... But no sense in leading someone on to believing there is more there then there really is....

I tend to gravitate towards the edges and the outskirts, and the people that wander around there. The center scares me. It's really bright and there are a lot of people with ties on. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that, you will find it is safer there, and you can think better, just because someone has a tie on does not make him better or more correct than you, it is better on the outside looking in, just so you don't drop off the outside edge, just be yourself, you will meet alot of nice ppl out there...good luck to you. |

I don't have an answer for you as to why they do this, but I do know I love my independence. I don't know how to be dependent on someone, I hope I never have to be, but I guess someday, if something should happen, I will be. I will hate it.
