I was looking through his film career, being he is my favorite actor and there is only one or two movies of his I don't like. Almost every one of his films has been a major success. A Couple have tanked or broken even but most have at least made a profit double what it cost to make it. Not many stars have that kind of drawing power.

I would really like this thread to be one where other Adam Sandler fans can come in and say which films they really liked and disliked and have general discussions on this topic. I love the fact that he uses the same groups of core actors in all most all of his films. I wish he would give his wife, Allen Covert, Peter Dante and Jonathan Loughran(which is also his personal assistant in all his films) bigger parts.

I also love how he has been casting Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and John Turturro as major characters in most his movies.

My favorites of his are Grown Ups, Chuck and Larry, Anger Management, Longest Yard, 50 First Dates, Little Nicky and Happy Gilmore. Billy Madison, Mr. Deeds and Big Daddy were OK, not the funniest he has done. I really didn't like Click, Spanglish and Going Overboard.

As far as Happy Madison Produced I loved Joe Dirt, Dickie Roberts and the Bench Warmers. Paul Blart was OK, wasn't two great.

I'm a big Adam Sandler fan- and I remember him when he was

about 14 years old and on an MTV show called "Remote Control"

he was on camera for a couple of minutes on each show -but very funny...happy

I remember Remote Control! Though that's mostly because of Kari Wuhrerlove

Adam also made appearances on The Cosby Show as one of Theo's friends at school.

I love adam sandlers sense of humor and I've noticed that its matured over time. Kevin James is one of my favorite actors so I'll definatley be seeing grown ups but my favorite two movies with adam sandler in them are either click or anger management. Him and Jack Nicholson really made my ribs hurt from laughing so much.

-James.

Here's some totally useless Adam Sandler trivia: Sandler and horror actress Felissa Rose(who starred in the early 80's slasher flick Sleepaway Camp) both tried out for an MTV series back in the 80's, Adam ended up dating Felissa's cousin(who makes a cameo in Sleepaway Camp)
Felissa Rose talked about this on the Sleepaway Camp DVD audio commentary.

I noticed that when he got away from comedy (i.e Spanglish and Punch Drunk Love), he tended to lose money. Me personally, I still want my money back from the travesty of the remade "Longest Yard," and I saw it on HBO (the original was much better).

Though when he does original comedy, man those are funny. Well, maybe not Billy Madison.

Now see, I think differently. To me, he is one of those people that never varies, every thing he's in, he looks and acts the same. Sort of like Jack Nicholson. I've given him a fare shot but he just doesn't really take on the challenge. I see 'Adam S.' not the character he portrays, same voice. He doesn't step outside of his comfort zone.

I love Billy Madison and still laugh every time I watch it.

I like most of his stuff. Not a fan of Little Nicky or Happy Gilmore, though.

I strongly suggest you pick up and watch Anger Management and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry(where they have to pretend they are a married gay couple to gain city benefits), they are both in the $5.00 bin at Wal-Mart. I also recommend Mr. Deeds if you like Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison type of humor, I got it out of the $5.00 bin too. Also You really should try to catch Grown Ups in the theater, it's just one of those movies you need to see on the big screen.

It has 5 main characters Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade and Rob Schneider.

I hated Spanglish, Punch Drunk Love, Click. So it seems we have the same tastes in Sandler Movies. Probably the reason you didn't like Bedtime Stories is because it is a Disney Movie and wasn't written by Sandler or any of his people, so it was to clean and didn't provide any of his typical humor.

I don't reccommend Spanglish and Reign over me. If you like a good comedic love story 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer are really good. If you want just really great humor then Anger Management, Chuck and Larry, The Longest Yard, Grown Ups, The Waterboy and Bulletproof.

You left out Reign Over Me. He needs to stick to comedies. Also his production company Happy Madison is going to start producing drama's like the life story of Richard Prior and have a horror movie in the works, both under the label Madison 23.
