ever had to declare bankruptcy? and how bad is it? I was just informed by the guy that I still never divorced that his credit is so bad we need to declare bankrupcy? He is in the house and can not pay the mortgage, he has several businesses that failed, he's in a mess, and since I am still his legal wife, I'm in it too. The attorned says bankruptcy is not that bad,but I just googled some stuff, and it looks pretty bad to me, anybody been thru this?

There's no way to get divorced before he files? Not that bas is a gross understatement.

It won't help, my name is still on the house deed, which is what he can't pay, so you are saying it's really bad???

My mom has several bankruptcies and she wasn't able to co-sign for me on a few things, even though her last bancrupcy was in '95. I don't know much about it, except to avoid it if you can. Especially if you plan on using credit in the future. |
