Seems to me some are in denial, that's okay.
I showed many links, answers being given with all types of sites (not just blogs. But U know what? I think bloggers are an important part of freedom of speech, and that for the most part, they try really hard to put up decent and factual stuff (IMO).

No T, I covered the h/care w/y more than once. I am not going there again.

This thread is about O' b/certificate, or lack thereof. And it is important to note how he has addressed the q of the people, he faked it p lied about it, then avoids it. Time will tell where this 'story' ends, one way or the other about his 'right' to run for president or not.

What is all the confusion - I think O is obligated to verify - leaving not the slightest doubt - the deal on this birth certificate.
And - beyond that - this is a man with so many - so very many - radical, anti-American associates - it is absolutely incredible - the media has taken a "strange" candidate and made him into a phenomenon - Obama lost me at the flag pin and no hand on heart for anthem deal. BB

--copy--Obama's Plan for Driver's Licenses for Illegals
**** Morris says:

"The National Republican Trust is a very effective organization
that can make a huge difference on election day."

Obama's Plan:
Mohamed Atta Gets His Driver's License
Dear Fellow American:

We have just weeks to go before Election Day . . . time is running short for us to avert a major disaster for our country. That disaster's name is President Barack Obama.

But this disaster can be averted. I'm confident about this — even though the slanted media are overstating Obama's inevitability.

But the numbers don't lie.

See Our New TV Ad:
Obama's Driver's Licenses for Illegals Exposed

The latest Zogby poll had John McCain trailing Obama by two points. Just two points!

Despite the full-court press to destroy McCain and Sarah Palin, Katie Couric's antics against her, and a daily onslaught of media spin . . . McCain is still within striking distance.

The stakes have never been higher for the future of the country.

Barack Obama is not simply a risky choice as our next president — He is a dangerous one.

This is why I have taken the helm here at the National Republican Trust Political Action Committee.

Here at the National Republican Trust, we understand our mission. It's simple. It will also drive the left-wing media nuts.

Here's the plan: We will tell the American people the truth about Barack Obama!

Every time John McCain or Sarah Palin tries to tell the truth about Obama, they are painted as mean-spirited and negative.

nope, several are respected sites, news sites as well. Yep, few blogs, but that's okay. O's camp has been found to have put up fake smearing sites (to Palin esp. how LOW and under-handed) so there ya go, all isn't as bad or as good as it seems when speaking of getting information off of web sites. Cya, gotta run, BB

PS. Care to bet there are several respectable sites through-out this thread, that I did refer to, like I said, or not, like U claim?? :) You are wrong....... but thanks for your opinion.

How about adding a quote from each?

“I’m looking at (Trig) right now, and I see perfection. Yeah, he has an extra chromosome. I keep thinking, in our world, what is normal and what is perfect?”

“I’ve got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.”
----know who said which?? One did not (abortion at late age finding baby to be inperfect) and the other pushing his agenda..... so no, abortions should not be okay for (girl's/women's)mistakes. BB

sweet molasses

I know I can be too damn optimistic for my own good, but follow this train of thought

1 - focus on issues not mudslinging bet both candidates would have to earn the coveted position of President of the United States. There would not be a need to use any 'race' card, point fingers, and media b.s. They would have to work like the rest of us at keeping such position.

2 - focused on facts not blogs: definition of a blog -
Main Entry: blog
Part of Speech: n
Definition: an online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called Weblog, Web log
Example: Typically updated daily, blogs often reflect the personality of the author.
Etymology: shortened form of Weblog
Usage: blog, blogged, blogging v, blogger n

layman's term - the writers opinion/view not fact

{{{stepping off my soap box}}}

I know, and agree. Issues are spread throughout the thread. Yes, much of it too - has to do with character, as well it should. Especially when we are speaking of a man who has been caught in so many lies.

AND he does not have the experience to do this job.

http://www.audacityofhypocrisy.com/2008/08/30/sarah-palin-vs-barack-obama/

But the topic is his birth certificate woes.
Yes, I saw the q to links. Gave the attys, and soon it will ALL be moot. Once it is proven or dis-proved. Thanks, BB

Speaking of the FBI, Due to his colleagues and friends, who are thoroughly interviewed along with neighbors, professors, family, etc...Obama wouldn't be able to get an entry level job with the many top fields - Border Patrol, etc., for his associations with Wright, Ayers and Farakhan. They would turn him flat down!!!

He should not get ANY security clearance or become Commander in Chief!!!!

You can never become an FBI or DEA agent if you used drugs, but Obama has admitted to using/abusing Cocaine when he was a teenager/young adult, and when he was on Leno - he was flip in his answer. Did U see it?? When Leno asked if he inhaled, O said "that was the point." Yea, some pres he'd make. BB

PS. BTW, Why did BO “suspend” his law license? Why did MO “give up” her law license? Why would two, young people, who have worked so hard to obtain one of the most difficult credentials, put them aside?

Did they have to? Were they caught at some sort of misrepresentation?

It just does not make sense.
I heard he lost his because he lied about using any alias names and drug use.

What I can't get my mind around is, how anyone can support (it and the man O) who is for partial birth abortions, or not caring for late (ICK!)term abortions babies that survive!!!

I guess that you don't know the facts about that situation.

Illinois already had this on the books.

Obama has said that he personally is not for abortions. He is for the choice of others though.

Obama feels strongly about having policies that would reduce the number of abortions -- support for pregnant women, abstinence education, the responsible promotion of birth control.

Adding to my post:

Palin says that she is for women's rights. No way on earth is she for women's rights. She doesn't approve of sex education or any of that. She even had rape victims paying for their own rape kits.frustrated

No, actually if U research it, not true.

Some supporters of Palin say they believe she had no knowledge of the practice. watch video

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/21/palin.rape.exams/#cnnSTCVideo

read off McCain website, that is distortion as well. BB

PS I do know facts on Obama's stance on abortions. He believes in woman's right to choose. If he left it at that, he might be commended by some, but no, his views are terrible on the rest of it.

Obama turns blind eye to credit card fraud

The Obama fundraising machine may owe its sensational success in part to a relaxation of standard online merchant security practices, which has allowed illegal donations from foreign donors and from unknown individuals using anonymous “gift” cards, industry analysts and a confidential informant tell Newsmax.

(Excerpt) Read more at newsmax.com ...
Campaigns are not required to disclose contributors who donate less than $200 — and Obama’s campaign refuses to release their names, addresses, and donation amounts. Obama has collected a staggering $603.2 million. Most of the money — $543.3 million — has come from individual contributors, half of it from “small” donors Obama won’t disclose.

Stories continue to circulate on the internet speculating that in July of 2007 Barack Obama sent Faleomavaega on a secret mission to Jakarta to persuade the Indonesians to seal up the childhood records of Obama, who was at that time known as Barry Soetoro. In exchange, Faleomavaega supposedly arranged for cash assistance and promised to mute his criticism of the Indonesian government over its policies in West Papua. Faleomavaega did in fact speak more favorably of the regime on his departure according to press accounts of the trip but the rest remains speculation at this moment.

Hi Adventure

Why is no one talking about more uncle same and the boss looking over y're shoulder??

---copy--
WASHINGTON -- When Barack Obama was seeking AFL-CIO support in the primaries, he promised to sign a bill that would effectively deprive workers of a private-ballot vote in unionization drives.

The bill, which is No. 1 on organized labor's wish list, is seen by union bosses as the only way to increase depleted membership rolls because it would be easier to unionize workplaces without the bother of the private ballot to protect workers in a free and democratic election.

Obama doesn't talk about this issue much before general audiences, but it his No. 1 promise when he speaks to unions -- pledging that the so-called Employee Free Choice Act will become law in 2009 if he wins the presidency in November. "We're ready to play offense for organized labor. It's time we had a president who didn't choke saying the word 'union.' A president who strengthens our unions by letting them do what they do best: organize our workers," the freshman senator told the AFL-CIO in Philadelphia on April 2.

"I will make it the law of the land when I'm president of the United States," he told the labor federation.

The labor-law reform is known as the "card-check bill" because it would allow employees to form a union simply by publicly collecting a majority of cards signed by workers supporting unionization of their employer's business. Union leaders would, of course, know how each worker voted, opening them up to pressure and intimidation.

Under current law, once a majority of workers submit cards requesting union certification, an election is held where workers vote by secret ballot on whether to ratify unionization. The bill, pushed by labor and supported by Obama, would effectively abandon that procedure in most cases.

John McCain opposes the bill, saying it would deny a democratic right of workers to decide by secret ballot whether they and their co-workers will come under union representation.

And yes, worry about debit. And health care too. But, if one can't pay for the children they have, or the 'treatment' one needs at a hosp/emg. room - guess they need to cut back on the cable, cigs, entertainment, etc. We all don't need to pledge more than our first-born already, for more debit!

That Obama has a terrible agenda, period.

Back on topic....Obama went to Hawaii to see the Supreme Court. Do the research. Andy Martin is there trying to get Obama's birth certificate released for public verification. Obama and the DNC have been trying to prevent this. Today is a scary day for Obama so he had to go try to stop it. Interesting timing here. I hate to break it to the Obama fans, but this birth certificate business may prove problematic for your candidate. Better brace. On the other hand, If the trip is legit about his grandma, I hope they have a good visit, even if in his words, she is just a "typical white person".

Why I Would Vote Mc Cain... If I Were American.

http://newsblaze.com/story/20081021161047zzzz.nb/topstory.html

The only reason I am writing this column is because I owe it to the American people. I have no interest in doing so, being surrounded by an overwhelming wave of democratic excitement - not to say hysteria - here in New York, at work, in political circles, among friends. But I have decided to speak out the day Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama as the presidential candidate of his choice. After the endorsement of one of the greatest Americans in a generation, here is the witness stand of a not yet American, let alone famous in his own French, native country.

I did not travel more than 3,000 miles and re-invent myself in your blessed country, study here night-time while I was working full time during the day to feed my family, work very hard and started to succeed just to see the "Land of the Free", the country I love, take the path of the near-death experience Europe took for more than seven decades with various forms of socialism, from the mild social-democrat one to the heavy-handed soviet one. All failed, one way or another, as socialism is contrary to human nature and the fundamental values supporting its progress: Liberty, Justice for All, and the Pursuit of Happiness

The choice at hand is not about Barack Obama, whom I admire and would be honored to meet. The choice at hand is not about Barack Obama's amazing achievements, which remind us that the American Dream exists. The choice at hand is about Barack Obama's judgment and policies, and the now more than real risk that his presidency would destroy this American Dream that made Barack Obama become Barack Obama.

Change is essential, but more essential is the direction that change might take. And change in the wrong direction is worse than no change at all. I have carefully read and listened to Barack Obama's economics and tax arguments and they are based on, and driven towards, big-spending, pro-Government philosophy, agenda and policies: I hope I am wrong, but like anyone very well aware of the early signs and disastrous effects of a poison for having been exposed to it, I recognize the features and, through this campaign, early symptoms of what brought Europe to its knees.

Maybe it is not yet too late. Maybe, in a few days from now, I will not have to say to my French-American kids in front of the TV, "people have the Governments they deserve".

You are exactly right, Templter!!

I would like to add, "There are no free lunches. We pay for it already."

Ohwidow, you said that you don't want the government to run and mandate how to provide you with health-care…"

I don't know why you are not understanding Obama's plan.

If you have insurance with the company that you work for, you will still be receiving that insurance.

Obama is talking about changing the way it is for the uninsured working people - the people that fell through the cracks.

Also, this is not a free insurance for the working uninsured.
By having a quantity of people on a policy, it lowers the premiums. Those people will be paying a small premium for the insurance.

How do you see that as the government mandating your healthcare?

I am Josey, the plumber (smile) self employed, not covered by an employer, but self insured. I see what O offered, compared it to M, did research it. To better answer u're q, --copy--

http://catholicexchange.com/2008/08/28/113617/

For all the talk of universal health care, Barack Obama’s proposals actually move us only slowly and not very far in that direction. He would enact government mandates requiring employers to insure their workers and parents to insure their children, while introducing extensive new regulations of the insurance sector, such as requiring health plans to cover all applicants. Even with these changes, however, Obama’s plan essentially preserves the employer-based system that has proved so troublesome.

By comparison, McCain’s reforms look radical. He calls for moving away from the employer-based system by shifting insurance tax credits from employers to individuals, giving people more control–and thereby more responsibility for–their own health care. Additionally, he proposes deregulating the insurance market, so that interstate competition increases.

Both schemes must deal with the question of financing, but there is another important question to pose. Most Americans are concerned that health care provision be characterized not only by economic efficiency but also by justice and equity. When vulnerable populations don’t have access to adequate health care, our obligations to the common good stand unfulfilled. Which plan aligns better with the demands of justice?

It is difficult to predict what the results of either approach would be. As incentives change, behavior changes, making calculations hazardous. Both McCain and Obamathreatening recognize that a problem as enormous as health care delivery is not easily soluble by a single reform program. But if we’re at a crossroads considering whether to move toward more government involvement or more market freedom, the latter direction is likely to lead toward a more efficient and equitable system.

History proves that large government programs covering high numbers of beneficiaries with diverse needs do not fare well. At the personal level, bureaucratic rules replace individual care and attention. At the economic level, price control would almost certainly be part of the package. Price ceilings, as long lines for gasoline in the 1970s should have convinced us, lead to shortages of supply. The generation of fewer doctors and nurses is not a prescription for improved health care.

The drawback of the market is its potential for unequal outcomes. It is important to remember, however, that inequality is not synonymous with injustice. Justice does not require that all people receive precisely equivalent levels of medical treatment; instead, it dictates that basic physical needs, including health care, are met. Perfect equality, moreover, is simply unrealistic. Even in those nations held up as models of universal access–Canada, for example–the wealthy and well-connected manage to secure better or faster medical treatment.

The more critical concern is that the people who are most vulnerable–children, the unemployed, the uninsured, the chronically ill–may fall through the cracks of a health care market built on a foundation of personal responsibility. This is where other institutions play indispensable roles. Many of America’s hospitals bear testimony to their religious roots: Mercy, Methodist, Good Samaritan. Provision of care for the ill has ever been intrinsic to the practice of Christianity, reflected in the traditional work of mercy, “visit the sick.”

Neither presidential candidate’s reform plan highlights the extensive work performed by charitable organizations, but neither the market nor the government is going to care adequately for those on the margins. Whichever reforms (if any) are eventually implemented, the imperative to visit the sick will remain as a call to each of us to lend support in our families, churches, and communities.

Health Care: Curb Your Enthusiasm for Obama

http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/link.php?id=67825

Obama’s claim that he would save $2,500 per family beyond a simple cost shift to the federal government of large claims is unsubstantiated.

http://www.thehealthcareblog.com/the_health_care_blog/2008/03/a-detailed-anal.html

More likely, a $100 billion infusion of new health care spending by an Obama or Clinton plan would actually increase the rate of health care inflation and ultimately create an imperative for more draconian government intervention in the health care markets both Obama and Clinton would preserve.

Cost containment is the big missing link here.

In doing so, I discovered why the Barack Obama campaign fears this book. Last week they staged what can only be described as a mob action intended to silence Freddoso, the same as they did with Stanley Kurtz, who hadn’t even yet written about the Chicago Annenberg Challenge papers he fought to open. It’s not that Freddoso has written an “extremist” or “hate”-filled book, as their hyperbolic message to their mindless thugs accused. Instead, Freddoso has written a reasonable, rational look at Obama’s record and has concluded that he is the first reformer to have never actually reformed anything, or even attempted it.--snip--
