It is hardest for me to think of myself with someone older than my step father, although I do realize that I have a little more maturity than my mother (not to sound conceited).

The other funny part is you would never guess this guy was 38.... he looks 32 tops. Oh well, I appreciate the input and any future input.

Ok, so first off... I am sure there has been a post like this before, but after looking through a few pages I didn't see one so... here goes...

I am 25. I am interested in a 38 year old. He has an 18 year old daughter.. although they are enstranged. What is your opinion on age differences?

The next part of this is that my step father is only 34 (my mom is 44). So, that makes me feel a bit strange about it.

I realize that maturity is an issue in this. But does it seem a bit taboo to date someone older than my stepfather? Or closer to my mother's age?

I also am recently out of a long term relationship. It took me about five months of no dating and just being alone to remember that I am happy with who I am. If you rush you may start to wonder or lose yourself. Just relax, enjoy the time :)
