humm is not everyone complicated? for no two people are alike. so complication sets in... that is what communication is used for.. complication is a sign of the unknown. that is why we have a brain to continue learning new things. I have come across quite a few simple minded people in my life, (most of which couldn't tell their @$$ from their elbows.) so no - Everyone is not complicated. 
These "simple minded" people I speak of appear to be self-absorbed. They lack the intelligence to make logical decisions. There's no need to "look futher" because there's nothing there. I could compare it to the mentality of a four year old. Are you trying to tell me four year olds are complicated? I wouldn't consider not looking futher an action of shutting down, but as my origial post suggests, why bother? It would be a complete waste of time, wouldn't it?!

Am I supposed to care if they think I'm complicated?! Gosh, that must be my problem. Everyone cares to some degree what people think of them. If you disagree, that's called denial, and you're only fooling yourself.

Age of man about 160,000 years. Age of Universe about 13 billion years. Look how far we have come in 160k years. Imagine a species somewhere that came out a few hundred thousand or even a million years earlier. String theory scientists believe its possible to travel faster than the speed of light. That being said its not impossible. They haven't managed to demonstrate the string theory is true yet. It's a whole bunch of conjecture that, if they can just nail it together, could explain a lot. We may have come a long way in 160,000 years, but we haven't changed the speed of light. And we probably never will. And even if we could, we couldn't travel at those speeds in a spaceship. The only way we are ever going to see life on other planets, if it exists, is when we are prepared to send enough people in a spaceship to breed many, many generations during the flight. (In other news, that leprechaun video made me LOL, so thanks for that.) Quantum Travel - The ship doesn't move, it moves the universe (which becomes multiversal at this point) around it. Completely theoretical I know, but...? |
