I'm thinking...they keep calling for thundershowers but they just pass on by and leave the mugginess instead.

Phobias

Does anyone have a phobia of driving or am I the only crazy person out there? It really is a hardship not to drive, but if I try to get behind the wheel my heart starts pounding, I start crying and shaking and just can't do it. I have never been in a car wreck so I have no idea where this comes from!!! I used to have that fear, and sometimes it comes back to haunt me, but in the past two years I have had to do all my own driving, so no you are not crazy, I have been rear ended twice, just need to get back up on that horse and ride I've tried but only gets worse. It is horrible to be dependent on someone else to go to the store and even worse when they bit** at you to get off your butt and drive.....if it were that easy I would! This phobia is more common than you might expect. I know two people who will never drive on an expressway with one of them avoiding left hand turns since she was t-boned. I don't think it is an easy one to overcome unless you head down to one of the NASCAR driving camps. |

Good night Mary, Tim and Chris! Thanks for the wishes. Maybe I will see you before I party tomorrow. Sweet Dreams I too will be heading to bed soon. I am grateful to have met you fine folks from Iowa and will keep an eye out for you and re-visit this tread. Would like to ask Tim how long he has been in the USA since I noticed you are originally from Australia. I have heard great things about Australia and particularly New Zealand. |

Oh I am liking your wit, very good. Iowa is lucky to have you. Thanks Tim is from Iowa too. Where are you from Chris? Toronto. I love it here right along lake Ontario. Our good friend Betty is a Canadian too. She is on a cruise (lucky girl) right now and will be back tomorrow. Years ago I used to live on the Canadian Boarder on Lake of the Woods. Loved it there but had to move back to Iowa because of the job situation. Lake of the Woods, right next to the Minnesota and Manitoba border. God's country with lots of fresh air and elbow room but I can imagine jobs are scarce. I can live pretty much anywhere but have grown accustomed to urban life although I am actually in the suburbs Mississauga (Port Credit area) a beautiful little town right on the lake with a nice marina. |

It's a wonderful little city. Great Mennonite community in the area offering their fresh farm products to the masses. |

Not as sweet as "Jayne, The angels danced the day you were born. Happy Birthday friend!!" Very nice words.
Wow, and to think the angels wept the day I was forced out. |

AND, it's someone's birthday? I posted this earlier for Ruth but this is for Jayne too. Our birthdays are feathers in the broad wing of time. - Jean Paul Richter Let us celebrate the occasion with wine and sweet words. - Plautus We turn not older with years, but newer every day. - Emily Dickinson One of the signs of passing youth is the birth of a sense of fellowship with other human beings as we take our place among them. - Virginia Woolf |
