Once upon a time, a girl asked a guy, "Will you marry me?" The guy
said "No" and the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, drank
martinis, always had a clean house, never had to cook, stayed skinny,
and was never farted on.

The End

oh my god that's great! Good job Shag, I could stand to lose a few.
Some of the girls at work do WWatchers, it really works. One is a
little on the fanatic side always counting the points...she not only
counts her points, but everybody else's! Oh well, it usually keeps me
from having the donut in the morning!

I totally agree Vanchau, and for those who act out in violence against
homosexuality are the ones who have the problem!!

I watched a documtary on homophobes. It's been proven in studies that
when men whom are extremely homophobic are hooked up to sensors and
shown pornographic material containing gay sex, they become sexually
aroused. The more homophobic they are, the more sexually aroused they
become. Think about this guys this is fact.

As far as the name party_fag Recon, most gays or lesbians I have known
and do know, my hairdresser is gay...joke about it. Maybe they make
light of it because others are so uptight!

What's up Shag? What do you do at the gym? I like to swim and do
weights...don't go as often as I should, my days at work are getting
much longer. I'm actually looking into joining a yoga class.

I'm with you on this one too Jimi. I'm forty now, and every since I was
a kid I would bring home animals I found in the road, or in the grass to
give them a "proper burial". I still do this, I guess mainly out of
respect for their life and their passing. I even stop and pick dead
squirrels up out of the road. My friends think I'm crazy...but I hate
to see any living creature mamed or destroyed, unless by the total laws
of nature. I feel that each time one is, it is a great loss to myself
and to the world.

Funny, when my daughter was in grade school, I got a call from the
principle. He was very upset that my daughter had taken a dead mouse to
school in her bookbag and took it out to show the kids. When she got
home later that night I asked her why she said she found it at the bus
stop and that "it needed a proper burial Mom E." I had to fight to keep
from laughing of course because what she had done was inappropriate.
Needless to say, our backyard between her and I was like a scene from
Pet Semetary. My family pets are now cremated and kept in urns. So far,
two dogs, and one cat.

Noone needs to tell me I'm odd, I already know...

Chis, I miss your "bubbly" face in your avitar when I read your posts!!

I feel there is some truth and validity to astrology, but it's a very in
depth science - and there are way to many crackpots out there calling
themselves experts!

I believe that too Jade, I guess part of why I don't spend more time
with my mother is because I'm afraid. I'm afraid of the disease. Mr.
Cunningham, a total stranger, changed that for me today. The things he
said eased my fears. He also suggested many things I can do to enjoy
what time I may have left with my mom, and how in doing those things,
will mean even more to me when she's gone. The whole thing was very
surreal. It makes the situation "approachable" for me again. It's
amazing what we can experience in life, even during the most routine,
mundane daily things...if we are just open to the possiblities.

While shopping at the store today, I noticed an old gentleman pushing a
walker. He had his walker rigged in such a way that he could carry a
small stoole with him to use for when he got tired, he could simply sit
down anytime he felt the need.

I noticed him sitting in one of the isles and people would just pass him
by like he wasn't even there...like he didn't exsist. Some, even seemed
irratated with him, because he was in their way. Being in no hurry
today, I took the time to ponder what I was wittnessing. It moved me,
and hurt me to think that we have so little value for the elderly in our
society.

I wasn't sure if the gentleman was very cognitive...but I decided to go
over and speak to him anyway. I spoke, and much to my surprise this man
had all of his faculties. We proceed to talk for a half hour or more.
He told me stories of how he knew Randy Travis and how when his wife was
alive they would go to see him in Nashville and Randy would sing a song
to his wife. The conversation somehow turned to Alzheimers, which is
what my mother was diagnosed with three years ago and what his wife
succumbed to 10yrs prior. What he spoke of, helped me put certain
aspects of this senerio with my mother in place. It gave me insight,
and new perspective and hope to continue sharing a future with my mother
regardless of her affliction. Randy Travis was able to sing one last
song to his wife. "Forever and Ever Amen" I was blessed today, I met
angel. His name was Royal Cunningham...he is 89 years old and he is
alive and well, living here in Illinois. God Bless you my friend.
