Honestly, this piece leaves me in confusion, but I feel that was actually the point. Sometimes not understanding is how we come to understand. Words that slice and dice as usual my friend.

Bit surprised that I quite enjoyed this, since these kinds of things often crumple. Way to pull it off!

It's very real. However, mingle2 has been the best site I've seen without this problem as much. You should see Craigslist. You get floods of the creepys.

It also depends on how much you open up on this site. If people feel they know you better, they come at you in droves.

Hide the child in the heart, that's what I feel.

Its perfectly natural.

Unless your bi or lesbian, women kind of command this safety spot that is comfortable and isn't intimidating as a man is.

It doesn't mean your anything you don't consider yourself to be.

An interesting question:

So I dated this guy on this site and did everything by the book;

didn't share baggage

wasn't afraid of a physical relationship

didn't constantly talk and instead asked questions

took interest in hobbies

And yet all of this seemed to be the wrong thing to do. So my question is, is all dating advice just full of ****?

Don't fear resurrection.

You can do it. I know it.

Beautiful, I expect nothing less.

I don't believe in religion. I'll say this straight off.

However, I don't believe prayer is harmful either.

So to whoever you believe in, even if it is a nameless god, please pray for plastic pancakes.

Because he really f***ing needs it.

The Acid Lake
Outside my window
Glistens with
Man’s disgusted perversity

All for Time
Children sit on its shores
Waiting
As toxic fumes
Settle their way.

My mother warns me:
‘Don’t go in the lake!
You’re bound to disappear
Into mankind’s hate!’

Good child I am
I wander its shores
Watching the adults
Swim both to and fro

What lies inside
The Acid Lake?
I wonder alone to myself each and every day

A day there came
Where standing at the shore
I choose not to heed my mother’s words.

It burned of cruelty
And broke forth ice cold.

How was I to know
Of its unspoken scorn?

Long while I spent
Beating against its waves
But Innocence and Purity
Soon gave way.

So now I rest
At it’s lonesome bottom
In a small and much unmarked grave.

I think I'll have to disagree with you on one point, though your overall message is generally nice.

People shouldn't comment on works if it didn't really touch them. I don't think its appropriate to throw around nice comments simply because you want someone else to come and read your stuff.

I don't want people to comment on my stuff unless they really liked it or really hated it. That's probably the reason I don't actually comment on some of the works I read here, though there have been many nice ones that I've seen thus far.

Just my opinion is all.

Happy birthday
I say out loud
Not thinking that your not around

Lost in thought of your day
I sit and miss the last turn lane,

Not sure what to say
Perhaps not saying was always the way.

It’s hard to tell these things
When you know that
Both summer and spring
Pass so very differently in between

A sad
Beaten heart
Longing for things both lost
And found

How can I comfort you at this time?
Any words,
Jests,
Or rhymes?

Or maybe you want something else
Mayhap just a sympathetic pat

I’m sorry things turned out this way
But I’ll still say
Happy Birthday.
