Fox has the highest ratings in the nation for news far exceeding CNN and MSNBC.The reason for this is simple. They ask the hard questions that most stations don't have the guts to.Fox also in not afraid of Political correctness, taking risks,or offending the general public. This is the way news should be.I think Fox news represents the type of news people want to read about.News that is Pro Military,Pro American, and and gives hope instead of the bleak, boring,America sucks outlook that CNN and MSNBC produces on a endless basis.

Yes they have the highest ratings. More American watch Fox than any other news station. That speaks volumes and it's because of the people that Fox has the highest ratings.

Fox News ratings pressure the other news stations to report news driving high ratings. I smell fear. LOL!

Only the few people who watch faux news think they are the majority. Oh wait, faux lies to them and tells them they are also.

Just like the viewers of Communist Network News are the majority. laugh
whoa

They actually are...
they have more overall viewers than Fox.

laugh don't believe that

No, I'm serious. Do you know how they come up with ratings in general?

I never thought I would be saying this but I do believe our current President is doing a even worse job at running the country than Bush did.Much like Bush he seems like he is in complete denial and totally oblivious to what is going on in the world.I see many extremely important issues that Obama is ignoring including....

Not holding a press conference or so much issuing a statement over the recent foiled terrorist plot that nearly happened.

Blowing off the high unemployment which is near 10% and in some states 15% and not coming up with any solutions or ideas to fix it.

American dollar sinking like the Titanic and other countries talking about taking off their reserves.

The obvious fact that Iran is preparing for a major war and is in the final stages of preparation.

The economy is still in a mess and he doesn't have any clue how to fix it.

Obama needs to get off this stupid health care debate which nobody seems to care about and get back into some of the serious issues concerning this country before we end up turning into Mexico.

Technically obama cant do any worse bc as he has reminded us sooooo many times that he inherited the problems and any future ones as well

I'm not seeing NPR News or BBC News.

Isn't the BBC government run???
And has a strong tendency to lean hard left...

Obama trying to boycot Fox news is also a violation of the first Amendments;Freedom of the press and Freedom of speech. Then again as dense as Obama is I doubt if he has ever taken time to read the US Constitution.

Since I do want to be "Fair and Balanced" I must say this...boycotting something isn't against the constitution. Obama isn't prevent the world from watching Fox he and his adminstartion just isn't going on the network. It's very different than accusing the President ( that I dont happen to like but...)of violating the 1st amendment

Umm, Im still waiting for this quote from OBama saying anything of the sort. Being that he is a constitutional lawyer, Im SURE he has read it more times than all of us combined.

Thats even a question bc all of the obama media didnt show or cant get any of his transcripts...
Hmmm, conspiracy I say ;)

Sorry, Thomas, but that's wrong. There was coverage about Obama not attending the anniversary of the Berlin Wall. There was also coverage about him not meeting the Dali Lama.

Yeah Thomas it was reported on T.V...and it was on Fox ;)

I think all the right wingers flock to fox news because they are the one and only pro american propaganda network while we centrists and left of center have many choices to divide us up. From the abc news nbc news and cbs news plus msnbc and cnn, lets face it we are a liberal country with a loud minority of angry right wingers who are trying desperatly to cling to deniel.

I dont know where to start with your post...

You cant blame a dog for protecting his family. Its just the jaw strength of "pits" that give them this vicious title. I think the attacks of small dogs is much greater, but they dont do any real damage.

The bad thing is... the leaders of the ban, have never owned a pit before. Its almost like racism. Get to know "someone" before you make a blanket ban of anyone or anything. Dogs are like kids.. they are what they learn to be. Teach them violence and they will be violent. Love them and they hopefully will love you back.

I see where you are trying to go with your post but, the main difference between your argument of racism is that these dogs (Pitbulls) are agressive by nature. Yes, some owners have a certain element to teaching them to become nasty but, after it is all said and done it's the dogs nature to attack. The dog should be banned they serve no purpose at all except for fighting...

All dogs as most living things have that survival instinct. I had a pitbull and he was very docile. Now if he felt I was threatened he'd scare the pants off ya, but never bit anyone.

UGH...you again ;)
Yes, and I also know a few but "overall" they are agressive by nature and serve no purpose. Put them down and/or ban them from the states

how is it B.S. when President Obama calls for allowing states to make their own decisions on whether or not to allow medical marijuana?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091019/ap_on_bi_ge/us_medical_marijuana_19

According to the story, the Feds can no longer pursue medical marijuana users in the 14 States in which use is legal. Yay! Now we just have to work on the rest of the States and nullifying other unconstitutional Federal laws. glasses drinker  smokin

Heard this today about the medical marijuana...

Reporting from Washington - Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. said today the Obama administration is officially reversing the federal stance on medical marijuana and ordering authorities not to arrest or charge any users and suppliers who conform to state laws.

WTF???? Thats some real B.S!

Pay attention to the quotes here...

Reporting from Washington - Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. said today the Obama administration is officially reversing the federal stance on medical marijuana and "ordering" authorities not to arrest or charge any users and suppliers who conform to state laws.

Also mentioned in the article that the DEA has better things to do then to prosecute for marijuana.
My opinion is that it's illegal for a reason and should not be allowed bc most ppl can't function well on the crap. Imagine someone working with heavy equipment or driving a cab. I know that its done but the reaction time makes the chances of hurting or even killing someone more likely.

Whatever.... LOL you gave sites I gave a site... you think my site is bull as I think your site is bull, my point was I agree that it should be used as medicine... yes I do... but it should remail illegal outside those medical uses...

Show me 100 sites for it, I'll show you 100 sites against it, and thus we end up right back here...

You can never expect a person that loves his pot to stop the fight..

Ain't that the truff!

Perhaps the Pennsylvania Republican Party has been watching too much Glenn Beck.

An ad that links to the state party's Web site is implying that President Barack Obama is not just a socialist, but an old-style communist, with a graphic that features the Soviet hammer and sickle inside the 'O' in Obama's name.

"Tired of Barack Obama, [Pennsylvania Governor] Ed Rendell and [Pennsylvania Senator] Arlen Specter ruining our nation?" the ad asks. "Hit them where it hurts. The voting booth!"

This is the ad as it appeared on the Pennsylvania conservative Web Site GrassrootsPA:

http://rawstory.com/2009/10/pa-gop-hammer-sickle-obama/

Do I agree with the ad...no. BUT, I cant blame the party for playing up to the fears of a "few" I guess that this is one way (maybe a bit extreme) to get into the ppl that sit on the couch on voting day to get up and vote.
Both parties been doing this forever, it's not right but nothing unfortunately changes no matter how loud we scream

Simply question...Should they and if so why?

I say Yes bc, this breed is and has been agressive in nature for many years. Also this breed has too much of a history of being incontrollable. I know that some may say "Bad owners create bad dogs" but, that argument only goes so far, I think.
Any thoughts?

Sorry if I sounded harsh I'm just opinionated I see your point that maybe SOME kids don't understand EVERYTHING.. Its a shame some people spend more time shielding their kids from the world rather than teaching what real world dangers are about... These are the children that end up on milkboxes or tramautised by their own uninformed sometimes violent mistakes... Even so those kids learn real quick too quick and in the worst way...if they are excused they'll learn that maybe it wasn't bad cause they didn't know better or that maybe they have the power to do such things and get away with it..

I think it has to be case by case but whos to decide even then? No matter what is done justice and compassion will conflict.....like someone said before blanket statements are of no use..

Well Said!

The bottom line is Rush does'nt get into the NFL, period. He said something insensitive years ago that got his *** fired by ESPN. A common trait in racists is the inability to see another group of people as equals no matter the circumstance.

My secretary listens to Rush and the like on talk radio all day. I had this discussion with her. It always go back to good and evil, always absolutes. She argues that there are black owners that are more racist than any white owner ever was. Even when speaking of racism, a racist can't even see people as equal racists.

This is the crap that the NFL wants no part of. The End.

There are kids who are 11 and 12 or older who still do not understand the concept of death and it's full ramifications.

You cannot tell me a child should be charged as an adult no matter the heinousness of the crimes. They just do not know what they do.

flowerforyou

Oh Dragoness, I can and do stand by my position.

Read pedalac's daughters response, granted she's only one child but one child more than anyone else has posted on here and she's 9.

An 11 and a 12 yr old do know whats right and wrong. As parents we may want to protect our kids and shield them from harm, but lets also be real.

So I can tell you and it's my opinion that the punishment should fit the crime. If they can take a life, what exactly is it that you believe they don't know... how to get away with murder???

Thank you fran.flowerforyou

People do not give kids enough credit. Unless someone has completely sheltered their kids from all media, any shows that show killing or simply just talked to their kids, well then I could believe it, but until I hear that, I will believe that kids know.

Yes, my daughter is only one of many, and she is one of many that do know right from wrong.

To say an 11 and 12 yr old do not know that killing someone is right and wrong is utterly ridiculous. That's like saying my 12 yr old nephew has no idea that killing someone is wrong. Oh my gosh!! These kids are NOT stupid.

Nobody is saying that kids don't know right from wrong but a child that happens to be 8 or 9 is exactly what it is...a child. They do not know or understand fully whats the consequences of their actions will be. They know that they will get in trouble but trouble in a child's mind (9yrs) is standing in the corner. So, when your child knows that killing is bad and wrong does she honestly ynderstand everything else that comes with it? I doubt it...

Your doubt is WAY OFF BASE!! My 9 yr old knows that if she were to shoot someone, they could die and she DOES know that she could get in trouble with the police.

My goodness people, how stupid do you guys think kids are????????frustrated

The way we grew up is so different than today's kids. We grew up watching the news because my parents did, we never saw what todays kids see. If we were talking about yesteryear kids from 30 yrs ago, sure. These kids see so much on tv and computers, so much more that we saw.

I can say you really offended my 9 yr old by basically saying she is stupid, yes that's what you're calling her and many other children. Give them credit for crying out loud.
frustrated

Read into it ANYWAY that you like but I AM NOT saying that your kid is stupid nor am I saying that children of her age or younger are as well. Your not seeing the point bc you have already made your decision without taking into consideration ANYTHING of what the other ppl POV's on here are. And what's so different from then (back in the stone age as you make it sound) and now? I'll tell you it's just more graphic is all.Kids then had to grow up ALOT quicker than children of today bc they are pampered so don't suggest that things were that much different. Different yes...but total opposite, I think not.

boy you'd have to be a fool to believe a child as old as 12 or 13 has no concept of death.. What world are you livin in... One without dead pets great grand parents or great great ( which I was lucky to have one till 25)... Or the tragic loss of a sick or accidental death of a friend... Must be a nice place there in fantasy land which you probably have no kids in...when I was 12 13 kids were having sex.. I knew a pregnant girl in 8th grade... And had lost a friend.....
I wonder if my 6 yr old doesn't have a better concept of reality than you..

rofl laugh  OWNED!!!!

LMAO!!! OWNED are you kidding?! He made some good points but he owned nobody. He is simply saying that a 11-13 yr old knows what death is and deserves to be punished. I agree with the 2nd part mainly but the 1st part of his arguement is still up for debate.
