I pressured myself into believing

Fun in the chilly sun and just by chance

We passed by a florist along the way

She walked away,
but didn't purchase the flowers.

I'm like a tourist on vaca always ready to pay to play.
I caught up to her Highness, couldn't see her yet
but definitely felt her supernatural powers.

I must have looked like a lost child needing mom & dad.
Holding this floral arrangement inside my gloved hands.

Then from behind a gentle tap on my right shoulder came.
I turned to my left and the Goddess Teacher supremely reigned.

She exclaimed with a smile "Have you been following me"?
I explained " Yes but must confess it's your sovereignty".

"These are for you with absolutely no strings attached"
She's more exquisite than I thought and I'm feeling clearly overmatched.

I bowed my head in respect, turned & walked the other way.
It didn't go how I planned but still feel good about the day.

After all it isn't very common that you get to present flowers to royalty.
I'm tweaking a little and trying to make sense of the recent anomaly.

I saw a warm looking knitted hat in a store window on my way.
Went in to try it on then to the cashier so I could pay.

I didn't have the right exact so put the hat back.
Went to hit the A.T.M to acquire some more racks.
As I finished the transaction on my shoulder another tap.
Turned around and it was Goddess Teacher holding the knitted hat.

She said " I was so taken aback by your gentle grace & kindness"
I responded "Please think nothing of it your Royal Highness".

My shyness seemed to be corresponding with her very coy smile.
I asked "Where do you come from are you the Queen of the Nile"?

She just laughed, grabbed my hand as we walked & talked.
I placed the hat on my head and she said I look real sharp.

Now feeling like the luckiest man on earth with this Queen.
She held her hand in the air and up pulled a limousine.

My mouth dropped as a man got out to open her door.
The garb of a royal concierge is the clothing he wore.

He bowed his head as she slipped into the red velvet backseat.
I'm thinking what's next is the car going to run over my feet.

He closed the door and she rolled down the window.
I'm pretty sure that the limo is hers and not a rental

She said "Thank you for a splendid afternoon,
I'd enjoy it if we could see each other again really soon".

It's so amazing sometimes the way things happen.
1 day your just a sailor the next day the ships Captain.

It Happens

Dear Granddaughter:

The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a ' Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker
I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting.

So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper.

Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed.
I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought
about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had
changed.

It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked,
I'd never have noticed.

I found that lots of people love Jesus!

While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and
then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!'

'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!'

What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus!

Everyone started honking!

I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those
loving people.

I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!

There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him
yelling something about a sunny beach.

I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck
up in the air.

I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant.

He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something.

Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the window and
gave him the good luck sign right back.

My grandson burst out laughing.

Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!!

A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they
got out of their cars and started walking towards me.

I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I
noticed the light had changed.

So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on through
the intersection.


I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before
the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after
all the love we had shared.


So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the
Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for
such wonderful folks!!

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Richard, the 11 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong? He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'

'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T

I used to like the little $hit.

Mike was going to be married to Karen, so his father sat him down for a little chat.



He said, 'Mike, let me tell you something. On my wedding night in our honeymoon suite I took off my pants, handed them to your mother,and said, 'Here - try these on.'

She did and said, 'These are too big;I can't wear them.'



I replied, 'Exactly, I wear the pants in this family and I always will.''Ever since that night we never had any problems.''Hmmm,' said Mike. He thought that might be a good thing to try.



On his honeymoon, Mike took off his pants and said to Karen, 'Here - try theseon.'

She tried them on and said, 'These are too large. They don't fit me.'



Mike said, 'Exactly. I wear the pants in this family and I always will.

I don't want you to ever forget that.'



Then Karen took off her pants and handed them to Mike. She said,'Here-you try on mine.'



He did and said, 'I can't get into your pants.'



Karen said, 'Exactly. And if you don't change your smart *** attitude, you never will.'



And they lived happily ever after.

A pure gesture of innocence became intense, hence the romance of a lifetime rides the fence.

Both seem afraid or maybe just cautious because of past failed flings that ended rather raucous.

Judge not the future before those precious moments can actually evolve.
You lessen your chances of a safe landing after we all inevitably fall.

By breaking the chains of failure I've found out that success isn't always better just different.
Lessons learned from both sides of that coin relinquish knowledge leaving me jaded but also romantically gifted.

The movie looks great but I'd rather read her like a novel over and over and over again.
Shoulder to shoulder chest to chest heart to heart until the absolute very end.
