Left the crib way to early but it worked out for the best.
Next to some other peoples journeys I know I'm truly Blessed.

Keep in touch with those who made me into the man I am today.
The loves I've had and haters too make up my intricate genetic array.

No hocus-pocus, treachery, evil Brady tiki, or bad luck Schleprock.
Remember Connect the Dots, Morris the finicky cat and Joey I got the Motts.
Pixie & Dixie getting over on Jinx the cat.
Squiddly Diddly, Soul Train, Grape Ape & Yo MTV Raps.

Oh how I miss the way anything would make me laugh.

How easy it used to be way back when.
I was young & innocent and not old & overwhelmed by sin.

This goes to all the kids with braces,bottle-cap glasses & freckle faces.
Persecuted for being smart and having teeth with gaps or lots of empty spaces.

We grow up to be adored from ignored.
Not getting invited to any parties to flying for free around the nation.

African, Russian, Haitian & Jamaicans at work stressing hard or relaxed on vacation.
I search the stars above for a path far away from being over dramatic, emphatic or complacent.

Let's face it

The people who can't help but to pick on others
usually lacked love, hugs & kisses from their fathers & mothers.

from the rubes in the south
to snobs with Manhattan penthouse views.

Whenever hurting someone makes ya feel better.
You must have wickedness inside and probably grew up a bed wetter.

Nice up the place wit a smile and watch the gloom change.
Me can't tell 'em nuff times how not to feel strange.
Fear gon come in yer life nah matter what age.
Respect is earned nah given freely like we work for a wage.

Heed the middle finger amidst this fist.
Plead the fifth as if this list could convince these misfits to slit their wrists.
Greed entices the weak at risk of becoming easily tempted tricks.
Like wiggling worms do to young 'know it all' fish.

Relish the days of old where family sung Christmas carols.
Now we duck shots from tiny-tots eager to give us both barrels.

Times sure have changed from the 70s & 80s.
Young girls and old ladies are both having babies.

Drive-up flu shots in mall parking lots,
While medicinal pot clubs get treated like crack spots.

Trepidation happens to all no matter how confident we can be.
Expectations of Fall followed by Winter is a good bet for the gambler in me.

If it gets to cold for my liking
I'll fold until the next hand.
Better to be a little wet behind the ears.
