Cheney was untraditionally one of the most powerful Vice Presidents we ever had which Vice President was it who said "the job isnt worth a cup of warm spit"? Sounds like something LBJ would say. |

I can rought it with the best of them.
But I have to admit. When I go "camping" these days, I rent a cottage on a lake that has everything (kitchen, stove, running water, etc). I can do all that other stuff and make that my home-base. Or I have a family hunting camp that has heat and gas lights (no running water, tho) Depends on who I'm with, too, but I tend to find women still enjoy getting into bed together, at night, more than getting into seperate sleeping bags. |

I can't argue with you.
You are correct, the United States has to be able to make "something" and export it to other countries at a competitive price and there are a number of factors stacked against us. That point seems to have escaped the last several presidents for some reason. No offense to Obama, but his plans to create jobs all seem to center around construction right here in the U.S. A short-term solution, at best. Until that problem is accepted and the president and congress forms a plan to turn things around, I don't see things changing. BTW, I have a nephew that is an outright genius and is going to school to become a chemical engineer. Coincidently, his father is half Indian and half Scottish. |

Wow, what an ending. Too bad we had to wait 4 hours to see it. Junior damn near pulled it off. Back to 16 with two laps to go, during the caution flag, and he ends up almost winning. Just ran out of track. I would like to see him have a good year and this is not a bad start. |

one of the greatest Presidents we ever had, Abraham Lincoln, was so hated by his opponents they finally shot him and when they heard he was dead millions of Americans rejoiced so no I dont think so They rejoiced???? Really? That is sad Lincoln was hated fiercly by the southern supporters and was considered to be a tyrant dictator by them they made the bush bashers look like girl scouts You forgot to mention the number of Northerners that despised him, as well. There was a large number of people that believed they were sending their sons to die in battle, in order to free the slaves. Something they resented, because they did not necessarily believe in it. Not all Northerners were abolishonists. Only history would prove Lincoln to be a great president. Hmmmmm. |

I can remember when this was a big deal. Just wondering if anyone buys it anymore?
There are a couple Olympians in it, this year, which may sell a few more copies. They say the same ol' things " the body is beautiful and should be appreciated. It's not sexual. etc." I wonder if they realize there will be a million guys beating off to their pics? http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/vancouver/blog/fourth_place_medal/post/Vonn-Teter-comfortable-with-their-bodies-you-s?urn=oly,219554 |

Bad adaptations- Battlefield Earth, The Running Man Many movies make big changes from book to screen, but still remain excellent films on their own- Kubrick's The Shining, the original Planet of the Apes, The Omega Man are examples. Tobe Hooper's Salems' Lot made many changes, but in my opinion is the best of all of the made-for-TV King adaptations. Yes! Great examples. The Shining is one of my all-time favorite movies, but I have never read the book. A friend of mine told me that it would ruin the movie for me. I still plan to get around to it, tho, because I like Stephen King. It is on my list for summer reading. Agree, Planet of the Apes and The Omega Man were great movies too. Probably won't ever read the books tho. |

America in the 21st century no one is responsible for or to themselves can't make it in the workforce? then society is to blame and the government owes you a living obese? its society's fault kids grow up feeling entitled to everything without having to earn it and then in China, they just work their azzes off and beat us at everything from science and research (most new patents have Chinese surnames on them) they beat us in exporting every year and our trade deficit with China is in the billions me personally I think America is at about the same stage as the Roman Empire right before they collapsed I didn't feel she was blaming the government for her eating disorder, just stating her eating disorder started at a young age, and she used the pyramid as a guideline, initially. But I agree with everything you said. |

yeah. or bring along a promising young QB to assist and learn. Trust me, King Favre will have none of that. I do agree, the man does make for some entertaining football. you never know... even Favre knows he cannot play forever. if the right prospect came along he might actually mentor them... maybe if he gets a voice in selecting the young whippersnapper... |

2009 Vikes. Lost a squeaker to the Superbowl Champion New Orleans Saints despite 6 fumbles and the interception. 31-28 in OT. That's about as close as you get. Don't tell me that if they work hard and bring Favre back that they don't have as good a chance as anyone in 2010. C'mon now. It's a no brainer. It's their best bet right now, but he will be a year older. I'm not sure about their other players: who they might lose in free agency and what not. He is better than anything else they have at QB, right now. But they are held hostage while he mulls retirement, once again. They may want to play it safe and go after McNabb. A guy that KNOWS he wants to play next year. |
