"I was playing Ping-Pong in Ding-Dang ... they were not the kind of people who like to lose. They proceeded to shove a paddle up my ***."
"Oh my God, Barry! I dont know what I'd do if somebody shoved a paddle handle up my ***!"
"It wasnt the handle... I've been shittin pancakes ever since."

"What is love? What is this longing in our hearts for togetherness? Is it not the sweetest flower? Does not this flower of love have the fragrant aroma of fine fine dining? Does not the wind love the dirt? Is not love not unlike the unlikely not it is unliking to? Are you with someone tonight? Do not question your love. Take your lover by the hand. Release the power within yourself. You heard me release the power. Tame the wild cosmos with a whisper. Conquer heaven with one intimate caress. That's right, don't be shy, whip out everything you've got, and do it in da butt!" -Leon Phelps (Ladies Man, 2000)

what Other than the obvious “I met someone…” (it IS a “dating” site), what else has this site done for you? spock

think E.g.:
- Helped you open up more to others
- Validated your opinions on something
- Helped you be a better debater
- Opened your mind to other ways of thinking or feeling
- etc…

It has given me insight to the minds of many I normally would not associate myself with or generally would not be likely to meet (location, interests, circumstances) even if wanted.

Maybe it has provided a touch of reflection... 20 years old and on Mingle. Kind of depressing along with the rest of my life.

That's a very good question.

I thought I had made some friends here, and in a couple of cases, I have. Very good friends.

But, on the other hand, when I was forced to go away for a month or so ( not because of a suspension..I moved and couldn't get internet service right away ) 90% of the people who I thought were friends...

Well...let's just say that no one thought to try to find out if I was even alive.

I guess, the best I can say is that this site gives me a place to vent, make smart *** posts, answer a few people's questions ( although even that is dying a slow painful death at this point ) and keep myself from going out of my mind ( what's left of it ) from sheer boredom.

Sheer boredom... indeed, indeed. That 90% you talking about, been there and back twenty times over. There are definitely a lot more good people here than 'in the real world' (NO NOT THE SHOW! >_<).

"You know, as stupid as you usually come off during this little diatom of yours, you're gonna sound ten times as stupid on this occasion."
"What? i lost my tolerance for the ******** baggage that comes with eating girls out! whats the big deal?"
"If you say the smell, so help me i'm gonna slug you."
"Not the smell, the smell is good. I'm talking about not being able to do it properly, and my mother brought me up to believe if i cant do something right, i shouldnt do it at all... ofcourse my father told me she gave lousy head."
"Atleast you blame yourself for your sexual inadequecies."
"No, I blame them. Chicks never help you out, never tell you what to do, right? And most of them are all caught up on the smell factor and so most of the time they just lay there like a deer in headlights. I mean, not for nothing, when a chick goes down on me, I let her know where to go, and what the status is. You gotta handle it like CNN on the weather channel.... constant updates." -(Chasing Amy, 1997)

Every time I speak my mind I'm lyrically critical
The pinnacle of being revolutionarily pivotal
Beyond anything ever studied thats metaphysical
Man **** a minority, I'm not politically minimal
But obviously terminologies that are statistical
Are manufactured to be unequivocally subliminal
Transmitted by monopolized media visuals
So I riddle hypocritically pitiful criminals
Habitually utilizing typical rituals..." -Immortal Technique

It should be, but often friendship is lost from sight, by one party or another. Too often are elements separated when they should be united, alas I can only pray the union will be true someday.

No jealousy whatsoever. I think if we are all hanging out, they should wait until i'm occupied before swappin spit. I dont mind PDAs but rather the length of them if company is present. That is just inconsiderate, especially if they asked you to chill.

I havent been in a good relationship for years, but what I do get peeved about is when people start talking specifics, like their ex's or their breakups... if i'm dating somebody, i dont want to hear these things put so happily/casually. My perspective tells me to not include names and dates and suddenly its a wild tale of adventure rather than your other blabbing on about another guy/girl. Kind of like the sex issue.... i used to hear all about previous sexual escapades with detail on the person, and most of the time I would know them! A story is fine, but some things need not be said.

At the end of the day, I just want some consideration and respect. If thats there, I will buy the drinks. Cheers!
