Farting rainbows and gold dust... sounds kinda like sharting to me. I think you'd end up with nothing more than stained (though valuable) underpants. Really, do you want to constantly have to explain that to the guys at pawn shops? |

Program in some damn musicians and have a drama free band. While I'm at it, throw in some of my favorite bands to share a stage with. Some great cars and some fun locations to race them in. Throw in a huge database of theme parks so I can ride roller coasters all day with no lines. |

Both when possible. But if I have to choose one or the other, I'll take the subs. Better to have the original dialogue. |

looks cool! kinda weird that it comes out in a week and i havent seen any commercials for it... It doesn't come out until September 11. Still, we're close enough to the release it does seem odd we haven't seen more adverts. Hope it doesn't flop due to lack of advertising. |

Focus features is putting out this movie called "9" that looks pretty cool. Kind of like a cross between the matrix and the music video for Soilwork's "Light the torch". Real curious to see if the same animator(s) are involved in both projects. That aside though, looks pretty cool and its only a couple months away. Be greatful rather than peeved for some people are born stupid, live their whole lives stupid, and die stupid. I'd rather not live that way. The part that pisses me off is that they CHOSE to be stupid out of laziness. I have asked SO many people what's stopping them from going to school, going for their dreams, and learning things that interest them. The NUMBER one reason is... it's too hard. Sorry. Nobody gets ANY respect or sympathy from me for self-inflicted ignorance based on laziness. ETA: Thank you Gos. You rock! Yes, the stupid people really get to me too. And it is laziness. I cannot agree with LHB that some people are born stupid, live that way and die that way. Born ignorant, yes. But ignorance is when you're little and you burn your hand on the stove because you don't know better. Stupidity is when you do it again knowing full well its going to hurt. I don't know why I feel the need to elaborate here, Snarky defined it perfectly. Chalk it up to a bad day and a thread meant for ranting. |

So apparently Burton is working on his version of this classic tale. Its hard to say as of yet whether the movie will have a darker tone to it, but it immediately reminded me of an old PC game called American McGee's Alice. For those of you that are unfamiliar with it, it was a horror/thriller take on the story and I think the best reinvention ever done. I'm curious whether Burton's version will lie closer to the Disney version or McGee's. What do you think? We all have our pet peeves, things that so offend us for whatever reason we can go on and on... well here's your chance! I'm kicking things off with my hatred of Michael Bay. Thanks to Michael Bay we've gotten to watch such "amazing" films as Transformers, Pearl Harbor, and Armageddon. I could argue which one is worse but when you're comparing three dung heaps does it really matter which one is bigger? Here we have a director whose only talent seems to be inflicting poorly casted one dimensional characters on an unsuspecting audience and filling gaping plot holes with explosions and millions of dollars of special effects. A Michael bay movie is like a $500,000 Ford Pinto... you can put all the money in the world into it, but at the end of the day, ITS STILL A F***ING FORD PINTO!!! Ah... that's much better . Next! |

Personally I don't think that Obama's polls being down mean much at this juncture. Six months into Bush's presidency we hadn't even had 9/11 yet, let alone a war or a recession. I'm not blaming Bush, I'm just saying the country is much worse off now than it was eight years ago and polls are down because people want instant results. Whether Obama's policies are for better or worse, it will take another six months (at the very least) before we can really tell how effective they are. |

Looks awesome, but you can bet money this game won't be released until the flood of sales for Starcraft 2 subsides somewhat. Even with this multi-game BS they're pulling its still guaranteed to sell like crazy for the first couple months. |

Found a few more this morning going through my booklet collection (used to be a cd collection... ah well. Hooray for piracy). And bobbysocks, this is the proper format to post images. Just take the spaces out [img/]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/85/Axiscover.jpg |

The people that put these booklets together are often ignored, and in some cases the album art can be really spectacular. Do you have any favorites? |

As someone who's read all seven books and seen the first five movies, I'd say the only reason he's irreplaceable is that nobody else has been given a shot. Honestly Radcliffe strikes me as being a bit wooden... and I really miss the old Dumbledore. I realize he passed away (wish I could remember his name, seems disrespectful) but the new Dumbledore acts way too aggressive IMO |

I'm really curious to see if Potter will stand the test of time like Bond has. I like the books, I really do, but just as a character I prefer bond in every way. Apparently I'm in the minority though because your vote makes it 9/6 potter from the people I've asked. |

Sounds very familiar. I had my first real job at sixteen, haven't been able to keep anything longer than a few months. Various reasons. I've worked for two places that went out of business, had issues with management, had problems because of poor training, etc.. etc.. I've never had an issue with too many responsibilities though. What worries me is how many people I know that are in the exact same situation. I know at least a dozen people in my graduating class that are all living at home not working. I do not buy 10% unemployment, its gotta be higher. Seriously, I know one person I used to hang out with that's actually making it on his own. |
