Frisbee/disc-golf? Yeah, that falls in with the drinking ones.

Not in me Fanta, I'm Big XII (previously Big 8) born and bred. And
while we're on that, I'm sorry but the best rivalry in sports is MU-KU
not UNC-Duke. Ours predates A) college sports B) the Civil War and C)
the existence of K-freakin'-U; I'm not sure UNC-Duke predates ESPN.
laugh

Miss Absintheur, I'm sorry but you're a fan of your team through thick
and thin (and you of all people should know how "thin" my Tigers have
had it recently) and to jump ship to another team is something you
really shouldn't do. If you need help repeat this mantra "Wait 'til
next year! Wait 'til next year!" I have a friend of mine who's a Cubs
fan I can put you in touch with if you need help. LMAO laugh

For me we can start with anything you can do while drinking
(goodbye pool, darts, bowling, fishing/hunting, and slow pitch softball)
or sitting (adios poker). Auto racing (just so noone thinks I'm picking
on NASCAR I include F1 and Indy car), golf and tennis (anything the fans
are discouraged from cheering at is NOT a sport), figure skating,
gymnastics, and boxing (all athletic events that put the result in the
hands of judges). I'm sure I could go on but I'm sure I've stirred up
quite a hornet's nest so I'll leave it at this.happy

Which is to say... never? Well at least people know where UCLA is,
Butler and Bucknell might be a bit much for most to locate.

Not that I care (you are the "competition" in a sense) but I'd suggest
you have a picture of you smiling in your album somewhere. I asked a
question like that a while ago on another site and that was the response
that I got.

I'm sorry Miss Absintheur but as a Mizzou fan I was rooting for anyone
who played KU. How can anyone as pretty as you be a Jayhawk? *shakes
head*

How about somewhere on your profile it tells others when the last time
you logged in was so they don't spend time trying to contact people who
don't use the site. Or "suspend" profiles that are not regularly logged
into so that they don't come up in searches.

Actually I think that this is one of the more "real" dating sites out
there. Some post picture of gorgeous women all over the place, but they
don't exist (the kicker is when these same "women" send you e-mail that
redirects you to ANOTHER web site). JSH, on the other hand, has real
ladies and if you're fortunate enough you might find you "one and only"
here.

A certain individual's rhetoric regarding the USA.

I believe that that is exactly what was don for the first ten or so
Presidents, and one of the most successful Presidents (Lincoln) actually
appointed his political enemies to his cabinet, not so that he could
keep his eye on them, but because he would receive honest (somtimes
brutally so) opinions on his policies and ideas.

Has everyone forgotten that the reason we have tamper-resistant
caps/lids/foil on food is because of the cyanide-laced Tylenol in the
Chicago area in 1982.

Actually "Gary" you could run for Congress, only the Presidency is
reserved for American born citizens. And as far as people having power
or using power it's called a vote; if you don't like who represents you,
vote; don't whine to me, don't piss and moan and tell me how I have no
idea what is going on in the world. I vote, and I vote knowledgeably.
If you voted, great but too many people sit at home on election day and
then ***** about the result. I'm tired of hearing it, especially when
it comes out of the mouth of someone who tells me "Well, my vote
wouldn't count anyway."

In the above article it says that Hernandez didn't know what breed
they were.

Justice failed the victim's family; Senor Hernandez should be doing
time. Of course since he won't be he shouldn't be allowed to own any
more dogs (you might be able to convince me that no dogs over 10# is
acceptable) since he obviously has no idea how to care for a dog. As
for dangerous dogs, ANY dog can be dangerous, but some breeds are
notorious for being a threat to people.

I think Erin brings up a good point. How many times when someone is
dating a person of another race are they doing it only to raise eyebrows
or to show how "open-minded" they are (or for other reasons- usually of
a sexual nature)?

As for my opinion, I don't care; but believe me, in a lot of places
you need to be a strong person to deal with the B.S. that accompanies
it.

I don't view an apology (or rather the ability to apologize) as a
weakness- I view it as a strength. It takes a lot to stand up and say
"I was wrong." to a group of people where the entire nation (or world)
will be watching and critiquing (and somehow trying to decipher what you
actually said) it. It's even more difficult to make an apology that is
believable (assuming you're just saying what people want to hear and are
not sincere). And incidentally, does anyone think that a sincere
apology to the U.N. and our European allies wouldn't go a long way in
repairing relations damaged in the last few years?

It will never happen, not in a million years, but a McCain/Powell
ticket would be an ideal one. Both a former military and (despite what
pops out of McCains mouth every now and then) more toward to middle of
liberal/conservative. Plus with Powell being black it would cancel out
Obama (who should also be on ever democrats "dream ticket"). Now that
last statement means nothing more than both parties (or "all" if you
want to include independents) pander to all special interest groups (in
this case the NAACP) come election time and is not a reflection of
either men's ablity to lead or aid in leading this country.

What is the one law that you pass? For the sake of argument you'll
have the complete support of Congress. But you only get one.

People who say "This is what we need to do regarding _____."; but
don't/can't say how we should go about doing what they think we should.
