some people are apparently confused as to the original point of this post. If someone does not fit into your parameters for your "ideal mate", you need not be rude and call them names. You can politely decline. What I don't understand is why there should even be any controversy over this. Worth repeating! Hikerchick is awesome! id do her!

I HATE men like him. You dispise honesty? Everyone has their likes/dislike. I don't like it when a woman tels me I am not her type, but I do not hate her for it. Dating services are not like looking through a catalog, picking out a person you like, and they automatically fall for you. In my opinion they allow a person to be more selective about people, not to settle for anyone who is attracted to you. You are not going to be everyones tye for a number of reasons, and if they don't like larger women, it is their right. You are better off they tell you upfront, than lead you on. People should be more correct in their body type listing too. A lot of biger women put average in as their body type, and a ffew extra pounds when they are LARGE. Food for thought, and just my $.02 It is sorta like a catolog, but you should just skip the pages you are not interested in & if someone contacts you that dosn't suit you, politely tell them so. We all have personal preferences & thatt's fine. I am not forcing myself on anyone, I want someone who really likes me, not someone who is settleing for me. |

Very good point ..The Sisterhood is alive and strong on this topic ..Ladies ,you must be honest how many of you have a Height requirement ?? Most of you will filter out men under 6'0. So we all have our mental check list that we go through before we qualify someone ..That man was at fault in his delivery , but he can not be faulted for having a preference. |

No one should be treated in a rude manner like the OP was. There is never an excuse for that. yes we all have preferences like many here have said. I prefer to look at actions more than looks and have dated a variety of different looks skinny girls don't have it any easier...trust me. everyone here is beautiful and if someone can't see that then it's their loss...men or women keep your chin up

I do have a mental checklist but none of my factors are based on physical characteristics. I personally don't care how tall or wide someone is or how much hair he has or what color his eyes are. What I want to know is - can he make me laugh? Can he speak in coherent sentences? How does he treat waitstaff? Is he patient, loving, affectionate, etc. Aren't these the things that truly matter? |
