This is crazy, I just now walked outside to put logs in my woodstove and I looked up and saw the blood red moon. At first I thought it was just overcast. Then I realized that the stars were shinning to bright. It’s a perfectly clear night. I live in the sticks so I’m looking up through tree branches.
When I realized there weren’t any clouds I thought, “What the hell is wrong with the moon?” Then it hit me that it must be a lunar eclipse. I can’t believe that I didn’t hear about this. Although I don’t have TV, radio, or read the paper, and I don’t talk to people so maybe that’s why. I came in to see if anyone was talking about this on the Internet and here you are!  It looks just like in your picture Katie. |

I sat and watched it and it never went completely full lunar........went to about full, but then it only went till there was a bright start like light and it started to get light again.
 I was so cold too

I was so cold too The top right edge was lit just a sliver when I saw it. I wish I could stay out longer and see it but its so cold here too! (-20*F) Last night it was painfully cold~ (-31*f below zero -actual temp & without windchill)

And I totally missed it. I can usually see the moon too. That's to bad. Woulda been pretty.

I’m actually doing quite well. Much better than I had believed I might be doing at this point in my trek. Things are looking up. And not just to see the bloody moon.
 The cosmos has big plans for me and I’m doing my very best to procrastinate on them, but she’s starting to physical nudge me along now. Even she can only take so much procrastination. Women! |
