I am buried under it, Jt. My broom has become one of my more treasured collections. The power here has been out most of the day and then there was that friendly hum of the refrigerator kicking in its compressor. Can't wait until the water unfreezes but hey I got electricity. Beggars can't be choosy, huh?laugh

Hi, Cleo. I am just too uncivilized to live any where but Arkansas. The summer before last I tried the East Coast. I got to the other side of Washington D.C. Prayed and God showed me an exit off ramp. Got truly lost in West Virginia. Eventually I got to the stateline where it says welcome to Arkansas. Kissed the ground. I didn't have any ruby slippers but still think there is no place like home.

Well I'll tell you, I kiss the ground every time I make it back to Arkansas!

Just got back from my NA meeting. I know I would have to see Scottie since he chairs. Sure enough he is there and here comes Danielle riding in on the rim. Had a nice meeting. Danielle had been riding on this flat for atleast 3 miles. Didn't even look like a tire.laugh But for the grace of God there go I. I was impressed he had a donut. He told me I was his savior. I wouldn't want to be his son who took out the four way lug wrench, jack and jack handle. Found out that Scottie just about cut off his thumb. He showed me the bandaid. Said he would definately see me Sunday come hell or high water. I take that as a commitment. I always seem to come back to Arkansas. I have oftened asked myself why but my folks live around these parts. Sometimes I make back on a wing and prayer, Cleo. I just didn't think it was right when they tore down the Grady Manning hotel in Little Rock. Heck, it was one of the affordable places to stay in the city.

1979 - The Marion and Grady Manning Hotels are razed to make way for the Excelsior Hotel and Statehouse Convention Center.

I can remember the night clerk telling that he hoped I enjoyed my stay because they were fixing to tear down the Grady Manning. Just a trip down memory lane.
