Hi, Babs.
 After I called you, Jeff I talked to Mike. He said that the junkyard offered him 495 dollars for the truck and Mike said if the buyer could come over tomorrow he would sale at somewheres near that price. He said it had a mechanic's lien against the title. Not sure how to get around that. |

Having a good day off, Babs. I took Sissy to the river to shampoo her and the pups with Hartz flea and tick shampoo. The lady fish and game warden told me I had to get my car off the road. The bridge is fixed but I didn't want to run over the people on the bridge. She had a big jeep and they got out of her way. I think I will try that. Just barrell through and people will get out of the way.

I have been having fun trimming tree limbs with my big loppers. One lady drove by and thanked me for trimming the trees along side the road. We must have a lot of people moving in from England because a lot of people drive on the left side of the road. I have had to cling to the ditch line to keep from getting hit. You would think on an old dirt road people would drive slow but not here.

I had a nice drive to Berryville, today. Instead of veering right through Bear Creek Springs I kept going until I turned left on the Denver road cutoff by Sammie's Rock Shop and came out by Hugh. I gassed up on the gas station on the right. I saw the big fireworks display in Alpena under the big tent. I stopped at the Chinese restaurant in Berryville but it was closed. The sign said that they were taking the day off to be with family. Sure was a hot day.

Going to my NA then my AA soon. I have to work tonight but sure have enjoyed the days off. I hope everyone had a good fourth. I am sure some had a good fifth on the fourth.

Berryville has a lot of gas in it. Too bad there is already a town called Gassville. Man, I got to stay away from those baked beans. They sure taste good, though.

My friend, Steve called and told me he had the valves tightened in the motor of the van. Now he found that the timing belt needs to be replaced. He told me that he is going to have to take the passenger door apart to get the window to roll up. He is going to trace the route of the problem of why the gas guage doesn't work. I am glad I have been patient enough with it.
