Happy Easter ya'll.

I think I am getting a good deal on the van, Jt. I didn't realize the 1985 Dodge Caravan was a 4 banger. A friend is letting me pay 2 payments of 250 dollars - Once this paycheck and another one next paycheck. I had forgotten how small 4 cylinders were. With gas prices like they are though it should allow me to do some more travelling. Still kind of nippy this morning. I hope it warms up some more.

is the van pretty roomy?

Yes, it is Jt. Just have it in the yard now. My friend's husband drove it to my house. He had his wife pick up a 5 gallon can of gas to put in it while she was at work. She drove behind him because of no license plate and no insurance on the van. I went to give him the money and she took it. But it was her name on the title. She works and he is disabled but had a bunch of old cars and trucks out in their yard. The title was clear. I am glad you don't have to have a notary public and inspection stickers no more. The appearance is rough on the outside of the van but the interior looks nice. And the most important thing - The radio works.

what kind of old cars?are they for sale?do they run?

I saw this 63 something car he has that is kind of like his baby. Looks like a race car of some sort. It was a pretty dark blue color. Didn't get a good look at the other vehicles. I think she was making him get rid of some of them. She works a lot of overtime and is supporting more than just her family. He was telling me that he was thinking of making the van into a truck or halftrack. He might have to find a different hobby. I could tell that he likes messing with the old ones.

Oh ok. I will keep an eye out for any like that. I have a friend down the road who was explaining to me how to get down to the bare metal with acid. He does through restoring and takes his time with it. He has been working on a 1947 Ford for some time now. Last time I saw him he had the truck took totally apart. Have you ever reuposted vehicle seats? I did know this one lady who liked doing that.

i've never reupostered but my sister-in-law and her grandmother does it.they did my brother's S-10 and it looked great!

I was trying to get the flashers to work on the van. I replaced the flashers with a new one. Now the light comes on the outside van but the one on the instrument panel doesn't go off and on and the lights that are supposed to blink just stay on when you pull the lever up and down. Am thinking about getting a manual for the van. I got the van assessed but the insurance office was closed.

could it have something to do with a fuse?
