But I shall not give up. Not just for me, but because I want to make sure there is a place for all LGBT people to go and feel welcome. Took me too long to come out of the closet, because I felt I had nowhere to go, didn't feel like I belonged, thought I was an outcast. I don't want anyone else to feel like that. So this is a place for GLBT people or even those just questioning, to come and feel welcome, chat, learn, share, make friends, cry, just express yourselves in general.

Just questioning then. My daughter refers to herself as being gay but never has said that she is a lesbian. I never thought that there may be distinction until you just made the other thread. So my obvious question then is there a distinction between a gay female and a lesbian? Her room mate is a gay guy and they are happy together. Her room mate used to be a lesbian but then they had a falling out. When her lesbian friend and her were at my house last year her friend was just all over her. It fascinates me. I hope the question doesn't offend anyone. My curiousity has gotten into trouble before.
But long ago I was told the only stupid question was the question that was never asked.

Ok, thanks. I feel that my daughter and me have always had a real bond. She asked me why she was gay. I really didn't know what to tell her. She asked me not to mention it to her her mom because she felt that she just wouldn't understand. Then she laughed when I told her that my nickname has been Rainbow for a long time. I thought then maybe there might be female and male rainbows. Then she told me that she was my rainbow. I thought that was sweet.

Hi everyone. I am new here and thought i'd just pop in and say hello. Is this place cool? I'm kind of new at this chat stuff and I have never been in a group setting like this but I'm into trying new things these days and looking for change in my life. Hope to talk with some of you soon..
