feral,

That is the most ridiculous form of statistics I have ever seen...

You actually believe that 99% of Mexico believes in Christ?

Or 85% of The United States of America?

C'mon...

Yes actually I do.....Our church alone has built 15 new churches all over Mexico.....And if you just look at anything on Mexico and look what the main religion is.....it's going to say Christian and then Catholic.....

You may post whatever you choose to post concerning statistics...

There is absolutely no reason for me to believe that America is 85% Christian... that is absurd...

The only place one may be able to walk into where the people are 85% Christian would be a Christian church... and that is is still suspect...

seriously feral...

Do you believe that these numbers are an accurate reflection of those who practice and live the chosen religion, or an accurate reflection of an answer required on a questionaire...

Wow 500 thousand Scientologists. Well 500,001 now that Will Smith is one. I can't believe people think alien ghosts attach themselves to our bodies and make us believe in our religions. laugh

When the question was first brought up.....That Christianity is dying......I didn't agree with that at all. I know for myself the changes I have seen in all aspects of life, and if anything people are seeking more now then every before....which by the way is how it should be right now....Because God said that every ear shall; hear my name. Now this doesn't mean to say that all will just come to the Lord. But I also know in my ministries around the world alot of people are letting Jesus into their heart and their lives are changing. India is the next trip and one of the few places that doesn't have a lot of Christians......but I know also in the next 5 years that is going to change big time......

I don't think Christianity is dying at all....

I even look at the difference when I started doing religion forums and how much even that has grown over the last 6-7 years. So I would have to say no no no....

Christianity is dying .. more and more I have these religious debates here and in other forums I now find myself trying to explain to others even Christians to keep God into the equation in these debates ..

the believers realizing how the religion is so unbelieveable that they are now willing to dump the religion but keep the God but consider God as no longer an "enitiy" or "being" but more of their own self awareness which means even the original concept of God is being replaced ....Christianity is going "New Age"
Goodness, do I detect a bitter note in that last post?

nope just an observation ...Christianity is once again forming splinter sects because people don't have faith in the religion.. we get to view first hand the evolution of Christianity into "New Age Scientology" ...as Spock on Star Trek would say...fasinating

It is through logical thought that one dismisses common notions such as the OP...

If the only thing existing was 'God', then all else would have to be an extension or affection of 'God'.

I am not sure why this is debated, honestly. It is so obvious.

it has been debated in the thread "To believe is to Doubt" believers believe that they only exist as the thoughts of God

ask a believer if they "BELIEVE" they exist or it they "KNOW" they exist ..they will not say that they "know" they exist without include believe in the equation...

of course? ...hummmm playing games huh feralcatlady?

the question was do "believe" you exist or do you "know" that you exist

either use the word "believe" or the word "know" to describe your existence and not the words "of course" and if you say that you "know" that you exist..explain how you know you do

To feel pain is to know we exist, new topic for you creative?? LOL

Statistics on religion are going to be skewed anyway, I know people who may have never entered a church in their lives but out of a great fear of being judged they say they are christian.

Moral ethical god, he is only as moral and ethical as man made him as he is a creation of man.

I can believe that the number is correct to whom claim Christianity. But to really follow with the belief system as is meant to be? Nope. Not so many.

But...the church is on the rise. Churches are being built and being filled to maximum capacity. It is the fastest and largest group growing today.

It's even made national news.
