I have not.. but interesting.. we have the CBD gummies, liquids and "pot" sold in stores here.. that and THC are both legal in Canada.. I've smoked it in the past and CBD does wonders for chronic pain.. I haven't used any in some time so haven't checked out what's new.. we might have the drinks here tho.. there are no side effects from CBD that I'm aware of OR had personally..
were you looking into it for any particular reason? |

A friend told me about it.
I have tried "infused cocktails" at a local place. They hit me like expensive fruit juice. I picked up some "willies" here but haven't tried it yet. |

some may contain THC.. if they do.. it should be written somewhere on the drink.. it should also, if mentioned, include the % of THC as well..
our CBD doesn't contain much, if any, THC at all so you can guage by that % if it'll "knock ya out" or not if you're not used to THC, (not sure if you imbibe or not) a small percentage can pack a punch, at least that was my experience in the beginning.. |

after a quick look on their website.. I noticed that they start at 5mg of THC.. that'll hit you upside the head pretty danged good.. WOW..
I was prescribed medication years ago.. 5mg of THC.. took 1 pill.. was flying high for hours.. never took another.. but again.. it all depends on your tolerance.. good luck!

This stuff is 10mg THC. But I think it's a different kind of THC than "regular" THC which is illegal here.
I used to "imbibe" but due to it being illegal here and some jobs I've had I haven't in eons. |

wow 10mg? I'd be flat on my azz for a few days.. never mind hours
I smoked for over 20 yrs, I was prescribed it for pain management and sleep.. I decided to stop to give myself a break.. it's been some time since tho.. I used the CBD during the day so I could work (self employed from home office) and the THC for nighttime use OR days off when I was really hurting.. I smoked it too during my cancer treatments when I was much younger.. helped a lot.. I'd be interested in knowing how it worked.. |

Worked? IDK, tastes like a slightly fizzy weak fruit juice, I didn't notice any effects. I did sleep fairly well, but if that was a result of "willies" or not IDK.
Like Gravelridge, I'll prolly just stick with beer and the occasional glass or two of Dewar's. |

He is in WI, they have no tolerance ;-)
After we try it (not sold here) probably by mail, I shall revisit this thread ;-) Until then, I stand with Willie. |

Wisconsinite here & anybody claiming we have no "tolerance", bring it on.
Lifer, currently smoking 25%-ish content flower "4i" (illegal Illinois Indica inhalants) therapy for pain. 25% is a sort of misunderstood label - it's actually .25 by DRY weight but includes both THC and THCA (which converts to THC when heated). If it was ACTUALLY 25% (1/4) you'd have a ball of gummy tar with a bunch of dry leaf bits in it. Even then percentage isn't a true estimate of how high you'll get because the "entourage effect" (combination of terpenes, phenols, & flavonoids in the strain) goes a long way toward how it affects an individual. Some people react differently to the various terpenes & what gets one person whacked out of their gourd might only mildly intoxicate another. The ONLY way to know how it will affect you is to use it, then, over time, you can learn which terpenes affect you how, and shop accordingly from a reputable supplier who analyses their product to detail what terpenes are present in their strains. Not all, in fact not many, weed shops bother with that detailed of an analysis. Most rely on users' reports to determine what terpenes are present in a given strain as terpene effects are more well known by now. The claims that today's stuff is so much more potent is horse pucky, based on leekers who never HAD access to the best stuff. I had friends shipping back Thai stick, Afghan Kush, Cambodian Red, Vietnamese Green weed and Afghan & Pakistani hash from 'nam in the late 60s that makes the a lot of the modern stuff feel like ditch weed. High-potency modern strains are about equivalent (25%-30%) to the original land race Kush from Afghanistan & a particularly hallucinogenic Jamaican strain I had the good fortune to grow when I was a teenager. PLUS, as recently happened in Michigan, some underhanded testing goes on because the "percentage race" drives sales. Infusing extra THC into a test sample that can then be used on the label for ALL of a particular strain ends up with the vast amount of it not even coming close to testing at the percentage given. I used to grow my own (hybrid I crossed from Maui Wowie+Cambodian Red imported seeds via a mail clerk in the U.S. Navy) for several years but had to give it up when I moved cities. It's hard (not to mention the likelihood of being arrested) to drive a car full of possessions down the road when you have a couple of 4' tall weed plants taking up the entire back seat.
The gummies we have access to in WI are Delta 8 derived from hemp, which is "technically" federally legal - if you overlook the residual Delta 9 THC content in it, which the authorities seem to be doing because they don't want to bother with the paperwork involved in ticketing weed denizens when it's only an ordinance violation with a minimal fine in the 1st place. As a long-time high-tolerance user my recommendation is use 5mg. gummies if you aren't used to the punch. They'll rock your socks the first few times but tolerance builds pretty quickly. If you feel like you OD-ed, go sleep it off. In a few hours you'll be right-as-rain again. I'm currently at 10mg. gummy dosing for pain while avoiding the "dizzy" effect from too much THC in a concentrated dose gummy if I want to stay straight enough to go about my biz-nus for the next 3-4 hours. Other times I have 2-3 puffs of flower for about 2-3 hours of pain relief. The pain doesn't really go away, you just don't notice it because of the high. You can't avoid the post-high lag regardless of how you imbibe though - that's a constant with use no matter if you eat or smoke THC. While the legislative critters here are beholden to the liquor lobby & continue to block legalization (making WI a "dry" island in a sea of weed surrounding the entire state), the upcoming retirement of Assembly Speaker Robin Vos in the new term looks to finally break the stalemate so we too should be legalizing it finally, in 2027. Whether it's legal or not one thing is certain; a LOT more research needs to be done on the effects and chemistry of weed before we ever get close to understanding it even half as well as Big Pharma does prescription medicines. |
