The way I see it...`My parents had three children, one of each. As for me, I was born at an early age and we were so poor I had to go upstairs to get to the basement. I was 6.1" when joined the Marine Corps in 1953. They said they turn boys into killers (and they did). I'm 87 now, and 5'8". What they didn't tell us is that they also make us shorter! This is something Jay Leno would say, "I think that's more than I wanted to know!" I keep hearing or seeing: Former US Marine or Ex-Marine. Well, there's simply no such thing. Because Once a Marine, always a Marine...
Marine's are either Active or Inactive. As for me, if I was any more Inactive I'd be comatose! Ron

Two words: Joe Biden

that's US only he doesn't affect 90 percent of the world
The fact you even said that shows just how clueless you really are about politics and the world in general.

I think we are now good at trying to think too much. Nowadays you have to work just too much to bring out a grain of gold from underneath of which it ws different from before when you could just dig 6ft. Time to. Tto laugh hs been turned to work

Hi RedCarpet,

Yes I have to agree with you, everyone seems to be just surviving now as opposed to living...

I completely understand when you say "nowadays everyone has to work just too much to bring out a grain of gold" too... Its seems like you work hard and then the government with it's (stealth) taxes and fees and charges relieves you of your hard earned dollars...

Here in the UK there was such a thing as tampon tax, a levy on tampons, which only got removed when Boris came to power and gained his priminister role, that's the 2000's...

We may have AI and robots and gone to Mars but back home on earth we have not progressed that far at all :unamused:

Still though, there's lots to be greatful for, like health, deep down I feel health is the real wealth

Health is real wealth..you said it well there Don. When we grew up in the rurals areas you could find out that children from much less privileged family will grow up strong and could always be telling fun stories. You wil always want to hang around them. I noticed tr secret was in appreciating what they have. They dont look at the next door to compare what they are doing. Their parents had to take time telling them good stories before they sleep which made the bond very strong. We are too concerned about how a certain man in power should bring laughter to us by making the economy better instead of making our homes a hive of joy

Your absolutely right...

My excuse is that it's so easy to get caught up in the moment, that we forget to make our homes/lives a hive of joy and sunshine happiness :joy:

I think people worry about offending others now.
How arrogant of people to say they’re offended which implies they think they are right.
Ricky Gervais had it correct when he said, Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right.

I know a great joke about midgets but it might be a little offensive!

And try to do it while standing on a footstool.
So the people at the back can hear you :joy:🤣

I take it your not a Biden fan either?
By the way I know nothing of politics :joy:

I'm not a fan of throwing politics into every discussion.

At the mo it seems that in general people are more grumpy, whinging & whining etc. Feeling sorry for themselves, not having any hope etc.

Not sure why. Maybe it's the hot weather, or some planetary alignment or something.

I've noticed it elsewhere as well, a Dutch dating site, so it seems to be a global thing.

Hiya Crystal,

There's always hope if you believe in God.

I'm not sure if it's the weather...
Good weather always makes me feel like getting out and working on my tan :joy:

Planetary alignment, Mmmmm sounds reasonable...

Your noticing it elsewhere too is not a good thing, well at least that tells us the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence :joy:

I see you're still sporting a smile :joy:
So it's not all bad lol...

Have you got any jokes for us? :joy:
