when someones' profile says they want; "someone who's financially secure, and 'knows how to treat a woman'????

Could have multiple meanings...
She wants to make sure you have your own money so you're not asking her for it and you won't mentally or physically abuse them. Hopefully treat them right. Or it could mean...she's looking for a sugar daddy. I'm leaning towards the later Be cautious |

When they link their two requirements together like that in a profile, it seems to me they are going to be high maintenance to say the least, a chat with them would reveal more but I wouldn't waste my time. |

The Sugar Daddy bell is ringing out ...

The Sugar Daddy bell is ringing out ... I would say the bell which rings only when the person needs and dance as per the action... Means a puppy type |

The Sugar Daddy bell is ringing out ... My thoughts as well. Might just as well say, "looking for somebody to pay while I play." |

I see those listed on a profile,
my first thoughts are, someone who wants me to have a buttload of money, and spend it ALL on THEM. A freeloader. A deadbeat. Been there, done that, she even stole the tee-shirt. |

If the profile belongs to a young woman, then they're definitely looking for some sugar lol

Contrary to other opinions to me that means someone who has his chit together. Not someone with nothing going for themselves and nothing to offer.
And no, that doesn't mean you want them to pay your keep. Not at all. Someone who hasn't got a house, car, job, and barely a chair to sit on, and whatnot isn't an appealing party. It suggests they're not reliable, or simply not interested in having stability, a haven, a home base in life. Anyone with some sense of self-respect & pride in themselves has at least the basics sorted. To me that is 'financially secure'. Knows how to treat a woman, well, if you got to ask you apparently don't know, lol. It means you're generous, not stingy, you love spoiling her, come up with the occasional gift, and so on. But this is not just material, also generous with showing affection and feelings. Putting a jacket around her shoulders during an outdoors walk when she shivers a bit, holding the car door open for her and so on. Gifts don't have to be expensive either. I'm always very generous with gifts, but the importance is in the gesture and the reason you choose that particular gift, what it relates/refers to that gives it meaning. Really, not rocket science. Certainly not a man who's thinking "So I got to pay everything?!" or "What do I get back?" Such a man is too stuck in his head & ego, has his heart closed, isn't ready to go out on a limb for love, and shouldn't even be dating. Love is not about "what do I get back" but about sharing, giving. And the receiving is in the giving itself. When I give and see the other happy I am happy and fulfilled. THAT'S what it's about. Giving IS receiving. Because you give from the heart, not give to get back. If you don't understand that... well, then you're not ready for a healthy, deep love connection either. |

So in other words ; love is about giving, particularly gifting? Not about sharing, as in feelings?

I don't run much anymore. But I'd probably walk away fairly quickly.

when someones' profile says they want; "someone who's financially secure, and 'knows how to treat a woman'???? Bring her on. If she can take my breath away, she has got a deal. |

Sounds like someone who has experienced many bad relationships but still hasn't learned how to choose the right man. I imagine no matter how you reply she will not be able to see 'you' for 'you', always expecting the worse from you. Looking to 'trip you up' so she can tell herself "I Knew It" |

What if a guy said he was looking for a "financially secure" woman who "knows how to treat a man"?
