@ Delightful, my daughter managed to phone the GP, but has to wait till tomorrow. The problem was she needs surgery but she'd eaten.
So I told her to phone as soon as she's awake in the morning to ask when she can come in.
Healthcare clearly has gone down the drain, pffff...
The poor thing has a fever due to inflammation so it's an emergency according to GP, yet no fixed appointment.
She was crying on the phone just now. Hopefully it will work out tomorrow and there's another surgeon on call, not the jerk she had today!

I’m so sorry to hear that….keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. It’s always a worry for us mums when our children are ill. I sincerely hope she doesn’t suffer for too much longer

Thank you! And yes, mums never cease to worry! And to hear your child cry, awful!
I too hope it gets sorted tomorrow.

Talking to my daughter via WhatsApp. She's now in hospital. They had a bed for her so now it's waiting for when they can do the surgery. They don't know. Can be in 10 mins or another couple of hours.
Never used to be that way, crap... But alas, she's got a bed now so she's in the system.

Thank you! So far she's still waiting and getting really PO now as she's starving, not allowed to drink, eat, or smoke. Plus having to wait without knowing when she's going to be helped does get on your nerves. Had it been clear it'd get this late she could've had breakfast.
She had a major headache so was given paracetamol.
I know from experience that nurses these days aren't exactly nice and most have a god awful bedside manner. My daughter tends to get angry or try to force things which in such situations will only make matters worse.
Even though it sux and nurses are biotches, you sometimes need to be a bit pliable and use honey, not vinegar.
But alas... wisdom comes with the years, right! And I do get her, it is really crap to be treated this way.
She said that in America it was much much better. And I think she was right as then she had a good health insurance since her husband was in the military and made good money.

Oh well... fingers crossed!

One of the reasons I like Canada is that many have a Dutch feel to them as they have Dutch ancestry. Many not even that far in the past but very recent.
Many Canadians helped during WW2 and romances and children came from that too.
Apart from us being important to Canadian trade...
Canada and the Netherlands have a special relationship resulting from actions during World War II when Canadian forces led the liberation of the Netherlands and hosted the Dutch Royal Family in exile.

Many Dutchies feel closely connected to Canada (I do too), and logical considering history, many Dutch roots there, and a far more European feel than for instance the US so less of a cultural & vibrational gap.

Oh, I have had one room-mate in life, when I was living in Australia, and she was Canadian. When I first met her I had to ask her to repeat herself time and again hahahaha. I had gotten so used to Australian English, and I had to get used to her Canadian accent.
We really got along, so much so that I arranged a job for her where I was working and thus she became my room-mate.
After a few months she left to go on another adventure: sailing around the world and to Antarctica. I was heartbroken for quite some time, I dearly missed her!

I tried to go for emigrating to Canada some 9 years ago. But I just fell short of qualification demands. It would've been tricky, might have had a chance, but I decided against it. I don't like to uproot myself with a lot of risk involved. It'd have to be solid, like no doubt about it by for instance having a job there.

You probably lucked out when you could not make it to Canada !!
The European touch you fondly remember , evaporated as soon as the doors of immigration was thrown open by Pierre Trudeau, the multicultural PM at the time ... Ever since then , it's been the policy to appease the minority and never mind the majority ... and now the Liberals under the son of that PM has taken over .... and right now the lies and corruption is unbelievable.... but I gotta also blame the people who are easily brainwashed, especially if a handout came their way ....
stay in known territory ...you'll probably be better of ha ha !!!

It's the same everywhere at the moment. All part of this big scheme of the ones in power and it seems many/most countries' governments seem to be in on it. The Netherlands just the same, I think we're one of the worst when it comes to hanging on the EU's lips and every word.
And as you say, the masses believe it as they get brainwashed and don't educate themselves. And a bunch of others who do feel differently complain but don't do a thing to try and change it.

We're going through difficult times at the mo worldwide, France, Canada, The Netherlands, Germany too I believe, UK, AUS, Brazil, I know at least all of these countries are in on this scheme, the playbook that's held by the ones truly in power. That's really a very small group, but since they're filthy stinking rich and no one really knows who they are...
But all that isn't new, it's just been lingering, waiting dormant for the right time. This group is somehow related to the Free Masons, and they go back to the time of the founding of The United States, probably even older. Washington was somehow in on this too. I don't know all the details, my son could give you the full account, hihi.
And after WW2 the ones that ran the big stuff in Nazi Germany went to the US, continued there and came up with the Codex Alimentarius. Much of what's going on today IS part of that. GM, pesticides, controlling people through food and disease, banning natural healing (Big Pharma), and so on and so forth.
This was already put together directly after WW2, possibly was a plan of the Nazi top themselves.
It was just waiting -for them- for the time to be ripe and apparently with Covid it was, which does give to think about this pandemic too. But even before that time they were taking away freedom bit by small bit so people wouldn't kick and fuss but grumble a few minutes and accept it.
That's what happened with for instance homeopathic medicine. And from America spreading GM crap that could ruin the entire world and our nature and so on.

But the other movement that did also grow and rose up, is also becoming stronger, larger, and has become unstoppable. That's why I never cease to see the good, the positive, as I wholeheartedly believe and feel what the outcome is going to be.

Absolutely insightful of you ... ha ha thought I was the only one to see and feel that way .... guess it's more universal than that huh!!!!
Yep, it's a wait and see situation ... we have Fed elections in October and US have in November .... probably a clearer picture could emerge!!!

Let's hope so! Somehow at least one country should get their chit together again!
I had hoped the UK would/could be that country after Brexit, but the sounds I hear from what's going on there and Johnson's leadership... not much good coming from it.
