Are women more loyal than men? What does loyalty mean to you? Is it the same as boundaries?

Loyalty to me, is not attached to gender.

And loyalty to me means, mutual respect and trust. Allowing your partner some freedom, not hanging on top of each other 24/7 ... which would be just controlling your partner.

What is loyalty?

Okay ... allowing your partner a special place in your life. And not do anything to break your partner's trust

Sticking to your commitment to your partner, including when something is difficult or you get tempted.
As far as I'm concerned it's based on love, not trust. Being loyal can earn you trust.

Loyalty is always putting your partner first... no matter what ...

You don't need to have trust to love, and you don't need to have trust nor love to be loyal. In a healthy situation it would be based on love though. And then it begets trust.

I think the clear winner is women. They are far less loyal, even under contract - whether the contract was under God or the state

On a previous thread about loyalty I posted that loyalty is often based on the concept of exclusivity ... that can be to one person or a group and is not restricted to romantic relationships . As such , I don’t believe gender is the strongest influence of loyalty but rather individual morals , culture and religious values . .

Loyalty to me means integrity , transparency and staying true to my own own values . Obviously that encompasses subjective perception and self imposed boundaries which may influence my expectation of others .

Some of the main components of loyalty are consistency and reliability.
So I would say, in general, no.

But you don't really differentiate between things like "blind loyalty" and a conscious choice.

Nor are you referencing to what they'd be loyal to.

It's a general, subjective, term relatively meaningless without context.

Might as well ask "are women more gooder than men?"

I would say it has more relevance to "expectations" than "boundaries."
