I wear foundation because I like to hide my freckles. Usually go with Almay. But isn't that concealer? I never really get what all the different stuff is for, although concealer is easy of course. A while ago I was checking out close-to professional make-up vids as I had to go on stage and thought, "Why not do a great job!?" But they put on so many layers of powder for this, powder for that, undertone, stuff to make it less or more shiny, the final colour, stuff to fix it etc. etc. My head was spinning. And buying all that stuff costs a fortune as of course they have the expensive stuff. And I do have sensitive skin so when I was to plaster my face I'd need good stuff that doesn't upset it. But then... how much money do you wish to invest in all that make-up? |

I thought it would be nice to chat about hair, make up, clothes, women's issues. Like I am getting foils in a week and I would love to hear suggestions on what colors you think would go with my hair? My hair is longer than in my profile and I am wondering whether to add darker or lighter foils? I have this one cool white streak from age, should I go with more white streaks? And I have been wearing CC foundation. I love it. What do you use? I just ordered a new brand online, Phero I think, I love the peachy glow. Cover girl true blend has always been my go to foundation. I looooove make up! Especially lipstick and lipgloss. I'm noticing a lot of changes in my skin due to covid, sun exposure and getting older. I made an appointment with a cosmetologist. I'm hoping to find a makeup that feels lighter to wear. Maybe a spray mineral foundation. My hair has thinned out with age. I've been using a biotin and collagen shampoo and conditioner and I love the results. OXG is the brand. I just colored my hair as a reward for weightloss goal. Sunset colors (red, orange and yellow with a rich dark base) and I love it even if it has faded. aww well done on your weight loss Carebear I have just lost 12 lbs and I feel so much better for it, although I have no goal I am just eating healthier and exercising better. I use that OGX biotin and collagen shampoo and conditioner, and I have done now for about two years. I’ve tried others brands but always come back to the OGX. I had to cut my hair and started using that shampoo because covid damaged my hair really bad. It got very brittle and started thinning out even more. At first I was so sad but then I think about all those who lost their life to the virus and I felt so ungrateful. Now I just thank God I'm still here and I try every day to take better care of my health. |

My CC foundation is really light, I like it, there has been much trial and era finding a good one. I watch Brad Mondo videos a lot, he is a hairdresser who watches people doing all sorts of stuff to their hair all the time and commwnts, he is hilarious. I am in love with the aqua, purple and pinkish, (Mermaid) hair. |

Sending big {{{{{hugs}}}}}. I’ve heard a lot of people have had secondary problems when they’ve survived covid, and a friend of a friend now has diabetes after recovering and injects everyday. My hair started thinning about 3 years ago because of medication, and even when that finished my hair didn’t seem to get any thicker again. Then there was peri menopause, and then menopause . It’s started thickening up over the past few months, but I now take biotin tablets everyday alongside vitamins and use the OGX shampoo and conditioner. |

I am post menopause Trixie. My mother and my sisters had so many problems during menopause, I was blessed to have none.... I still wish I had 5 children or more lol. I grew up in a big family. Cards, board games, hide and seek, seances eeekkk, were so much fun. Darn husbands for dying ...

My hair is pretty long and I've debated cutting it short.
How do you keep your hair from getting tangled when you sleep? And what do you use to detangle if it does become tangled? |

My hair is pretty long and I've debated cutting it short. How do you keep your hair from getting tangled when you sleep? And what do you use to detangle if it does become tangled? My hair has a life of it's own and does get tangled when sleeping. I have heard plaiting it before bed works. Me, I brush my tangles out, I am not sure what other women do? I do not like the feeling of my hair on my face funnily enough, which happens every 5 minutes. If I lean over, it falls forward and I can't see anything lol. Thank goodness for hair ties. |

I just posted about cutting my hair shorter pumpi . Have had long hair for years it is now down to my waist ... but not very practical for the active lifestyle I live . I don’t really have a problem with tangles my hair is fine and silky ., all comes down to the condition and coarseness I think

Exactly! I usually put it up, but breakage and damage is so frustrating.
I use detangles but still a fight. I'll be forced to wear a bonnet soon or have no hair. Also I have a nervous habit of touching it, not helping matters |
