My hair is pretty long and I've debated cutting it short. How do you keep your hair from getting tangled when you sleep? And what do you use to detangle if it does become tangled? I usually plait mine on each side when I go to bed cus my fair always tangles ( years of dying and bleaching it ) And I use one of those big chunky combs on it to comb it through the next day , sometimes called shower combs . I find they really help . I’ve been dying my hair un natural colours for about 30 plus years now , I love colours . The same with make up , that’s usually bright or multi coloured again all un natural colours .I couldn’t imagine having natural coloured hair or natural coloured make up . I do dye my hair quite often as I like to change it , it was recently UV neon pink and now it’s blue and green , it’s quite dark for me at the moment which feels a little weird so I will probably dye it again soon , brighter . Some of my hair is shaved which at times can be a pain to keep it up so I sometimes grow it out for a bit then go back to shaving it . Ive had dreadlocks multiple times and I sometimes wear synthetic dreadlocks too . I went for a long period of time like when all covid started of not wearing makeup everyday but lately I’ve started wearing it everyday again as it does make me feel happier , just cus I love having on colourful stuff as it defo lifts my mood . My hair and my make up and all my piercings ,are all for me . I’d never change it for a guy etc . If people don’t like it then I’m not the slightest bit bothered Yes I do get stared at often cus of my hair or my clothes style etc but I often get stopped too by people telling me how I have brightened up there day by being so colourful , I’ve met many people this way which is good |

Exactly! I usually put it up, but breakage and damage is so frustrating. I use detangles but still a fight. I'll be forced to wear a bonnet soon or have no hair. Also I have a nervous habit of touching it, not helping matters |

Idgaf about makeup since the covid started. Only mascara if anything. didnt matter much with a mask. Now I'm feeling exposed maybe, cant hide anymore. I suppose I'm somewhat opposite you, where I can't take the attention. Possibly dressing down to stay under the radar. I am an Introvert it appears. I'm sure you have a lot more friends, people are drawn to people like you, a bright spirit. I do have multi piercings and think about tattoos though. Short hair looks great, just getting it cut every month or so, I suck at keeping up with it. |

I just posted about cutting my hair shorter pumpi . Have had long hair for years it is now down to my waist ... but not very practical for the active lifestyle I live . I don’t really have a problem with tangles my hair is fine and silky ., all comes down to the condition and coarseness I think Yes! with an active life style, how do you keep it from flying around, breaking and damaging it? I keep mine up mostly, but I do see some breakage and it does tangle. Maybe I'll try other conditioners, sure cant hurt. |

Also I have a nervous habit of touching it, not helping matters What type of hair do you have naturally? Wavy, curly, straight, frizzy, etc? I know I go through phases of wanting to cut my hair and wanting it long too. You can do so much with hair. Perhaps try mid length, so it does not have to be cut as often? |

You remind me of an old english friend I had who had colourful synthetic dreads with beads in it. She used to have a stall at our busy Saturday Market, she would add beads to people's hair. Have you watched Mystery & Makeup youtube videos with Bailey Sarian? She is epic at colorful makeup. . |

Also I have a nervous habit of touching it, not helping matters I tried a silk pillowcase when I had a nap today. I could not breathe and I cut the eye slots wonky, so I took it off my head.... |

Short hair looks great, just getting it cut every month or so, I suck at keeping up with it. Every 6 weeks is normal/average, I usually wait as long as I'm still happy with it. I don't mind if it gets a bit longer, for me it's just my fringe. As soon as that start getting in my eyes, or close to it, it start to irritate me and it's time to get it cut again. Usually 8 weeks after the last haircut. Does depend on the style. If you have your ears cut free for instance with a pixy haircut you may have to get it cut after 6 weeks again. If your hair gets tangled in bed while you use conditioner it's probably due to lots of tossing and turning in your sleep. I just checked. You can buy really great sleeping caps! Even ones that are long at the back to put your long locks in :) |

Mid length sounds intriguing & not so intimidating. Still I debate in my head. |

That's what I was referring to as a bonnet, sleeping cap sounds so much better. I might end up going that route. Not very attractive though, good thing I sleep alone. |

Plait it if you like that better :) It's what the women in the past did, apart from the sleeping cap. Some of these new-fashioned ones were quite cute. Hair cut every 8 weeks is doable. I'm quite lazy too, and every 6 weeks is too much for me. But 8 weeks is okay. If you find a hair dresser you get along with it's actually quite nice to have your hair done. |

I have no suggestions for other women.
I don't use makeup foundation. It's not always good for your skin. I don't color my hair. I stick to Low maintenance. I can be ready for a date in 2O minutes. Shower and dress. Most men Im Interested in don't like women with lots of makeup or hair pieces/ wigs. High maintenance women take lots of care . When they strip it all off, you have a different person. It's also costly for some women. I think I need very little makeup. |

TG, I do not care what mens opinions are when it comes to hair, makeup and clothes. I do not live my life according to what a man wants.

I don't do much make-up and hair stuff either, but that is totally MY choice, has nothing to do with what men like. I also wear what makes me feel good. Oftentimes men take longer to get ready than a woman btw... |

I still get compliments, but it is not my aim to please lol. |

I have just ordered an electric thingy that makes all types of curls. I have never been that girly girl before and now I am experimenting. I can't wait for it to arrive.
