Hi Everyone,
I returned a year ago to the states after living abroad for 13 years. I brought my Japanese wife of ten years with me but she couldn't adjust to the life here in Indiana. She returned to Japan and now I'm single again. I miss having someone to talk with and share the wonders of everyday life. I don't know how to date or where to date now. How do I get my life started again? How do I find new friends and a good companion here in the Indianapolis or southern Indiana area.
HELP

Wow tough crowd!! I think the first thing you need to do is make sure you are over your wife or ex wife? I guess the first thing is make sure she is your ex wife before you drag someone into your situation. I think before you can start a new relationship..you have to clean up the old relationship!!
There are so many women in Indy that you shouldn't have a problem with dating!! I just say get out there and start meeting new people. Good luck flowerforyou
Oh I hope you love the cold winters because they are cold here in Indiana

Success is the best revenge. File immediately for divorce. Don't wait to give her a chance since she left. Then get totally into shape. Make some money and enjoy life.

Drink beer!

Never realized I look like him. HAHAHA. laugh Yeah the ex is gone for good. I am used to the cold weather since I was raised in Indiana. I also lived in northern Japan which has weather like Maine.

I agree first make sure you are over her or she isn't worth you moving back to. If not start posting go to book stores, malls, coffee shops, etc. Give yourself time to make sure it isn't just a rebound thing.

Recovering myself, my advise is probably like most other's.. Be yourself and don't expect too much of anything it'll happen in due time!

The worst mistake I made was jumping back into a serious relationship too soon. I was married for 10 years and now have been divorced for almost 2. My best advice to people who are newly single, is to take your time and be alone. It's so hard, but is so worth it.

There is no easy way around it.

I started dating about a year later, and have just had fun now and made so many new friends. I hated being alone at first and did the bar thing (too much) and now am glad to be by myself and be a little bit more choosey.

Dude listen to unsure, she's got the right story. Me, after 17 years my marriage tanked, already did the rebound thing and that made everything worse, and the divorce won't be final till Jan. even more worse, she's got a profile up here too, rebound, not the ex-wife. Take lots of time to heal up before you do anything.

I am still in the throws of a divorce. I think this is good advice. It is too bad that you loose time waiting to sort out all the feelings
