Heard this tune thousands of times and will always love it, Toy didn't think it was good enough and they almost didn't record it.
Used to play this on the way taking my daughter to school 10 years ago and it's the first song I taught her to count time to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh_UdmNGGFA Always love to see Toy (RIP) in action, maybe the hottest thumb picker ever, check him at about 5:00 in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52ai_MFbGDo&list=RDGMEMJQXQAmqrnmK1SEjY_rKBGA&start_radio=1 |

It depends on the mood I am looking for and the mood I am trying to break.
Sometimes its blues, sometimes its classic rock, heavy metal, trance, psychedelic or easy listening. Sometimes it just a corny song from my youth. For instance, when I want to be sassy, Steelheart - Steelheart gets me in the mood. Van Halen - Eruption sometimes. When I'm looking to feel nostalgic, The Archies - Sugar Sugar, Mamas & Papas - California Dreaming. Sometimes I play music because I want to feel the rhythm and groove. The words of the song lose meaning and the instruments are my focus. Especially guitar and sax. Albert Cummings - Feeling End, Deep Purple - Breakfast In Bed. When I want to feel creative I listen to acoustic guitar songs. Calum Graham - Phoenix Rising, Luca Stricagnoli - The Last of the Mohicans When I'm with my gf at night listening to slow ballads and mellow songs feels right. Don Henley - Last Worthless Evening, Roger Hodgson - Only Because Of You. When I want to rock out, Laura Cox - Fire Fire, Scorpions - Blackout. I have a lot of different types of music which I listen to frequently for various reasons. I cited a few examples. I have a 16 GB thumb drive in my truck of favorite driving songs. I don't really listen to music which doesn't make me feel good. Probably one of the reasons I stopped listening to radio stations. I choose all the music I listen to. It all makes me feel good at one time or another. I'm pretty good about picking the right music for the mood. |
