Thinking... good to know my washing machine is perfectly levelled, bummer is that means I need a repairman to come look at it which means loads of money

Thinking that living in the west where everything seems temporary.... it will be cheaper to buy a new item than pay to get it fixed.... imho

I don't think however that the repair will be massive, and the price of a new machine is. Bummer is, it's only 7 yrs old. My old one lasted me 26 yrs (!!!), never needed a repair and was used a helluva lot, cotton diapers from 2 kids and all. I had hoped when I had to buy a new one I'd get at least 10-12 yrs out of it :/

I have to stabilize it with my weight. When standing it's solid as a rock, so it's not unbalanced in that sense. The guy that came over to check that said he suspected the suspension, if that what you call it? The springs that hold the drum steady.

It does make me think about the price of washing machine. The one I have that worked without problems for only 7 yrs wasn't a cheap one. It wasn't horribly expensive either, bit middle class towards the more expensive. And still only get 7 yrs out of it without problems. Maybe just get a cheap one. I think I will make a few phone calls about expected repair cost, and if too expensive to do I will continue using it for another while. Nothing to lose then, right.
