We have a 13 kg cat, please don't judge. He eats next to nothing... He just is getting older and does not like to move. He is a really happy cat.
His name is Fatcat... But originally it was Tinker.
I call him my baby xxx

I won't judge.

Sounds like Fatcat and I have a bit in common.
I'm getting older, and don't like to move
unless I have to.

Fatcat probably has more hair than I do.
But, I can ride a motorcycle. bigsmile

Seems like an awesome cat.

Fatcat sheds his hair sooo fast, especially in Summer. I will glue some together and send you a wig. No need for thanks. I hope you like black hair.

I lost my little buddy, Bandit, in November. He was a 9yo Shih Tzu and my best buddy. I want to get a rescue but just not ready yet. Soon, but not yet.

I always wanted a dog named Diogi.
dee-OH-gee.
D O G

Sorry for your loss.:rose:

Diogi is so funny.... :grinning:

I got two cats, males. One is Bailey, the other Bramble. They're brothers, same age.
Bailey was supposed to be a girl and 'her' name was Meggie. And then I found out it was a boy noway I then changed 'her' name to Bailey.
Bailey is my baby smitten
I love him to bits!
When I went on holiday to the US he was heartbroken. He looked like he was crying, didn't eat much, didn't come in much either. (My son & his girl and a friend of mine were looking after them daily).
When I got back it took about a week until he came to me again. It was almost as if he was angry or didn't trust it anymore, thinking that maybe I'd bugger off again.
It was then I realised how much cats can get affected by such things, and there's no way to prepare them.
Bramble didn't give a toss. As long as he gets food he's happy. But Bailey... he needs me  smitten

Isn't it great their different personalities.

Yep. They even look totally different. I think from different father, which I was told can happen with cats. Some of the kittens in the litter were fluffy, like Bailey is. A few were smooth haired like Bramble.

I have no pets now but I knew a farmer who had 2 German Shepherds (at the same time) and he called them both Bob! Guess he figured he’d only need to shout once to get their attention laugh

Omg, that is ridiculous...lol. Clever!!!

offtopic However, I did read about a mother of 9 children, all boys, who named them all 'Bobby'.
When questioned why? She said that when she needed to call them in all at once, she used Bobby.
When she needed the attention of only ONE particular child, she just used their SURNAME.
Oh, and their only dogs name was Bluey, which ties in nicely to the OT.

My last pet was my beloved dog Ozzie (he was named when I got him) he was part German Shepherd and part unknown snow dog. As an adult he was 110 pounds and could run like the wind. Looked like a Shepherd but not colored like one. I got him when he was about ten months old and my daughter was 4 and they grew up together. She would absolutely maul him and he never once offered to bite her but did want to take on a pair of pitbulls that came into his yard one day, luckily he was in the back yard and couldn't get into the front yard where they were. That was the most hackled up and pissed off I ever saw him, I had him by the collar because I was afraid they'd tag team him and they were both his size.
He died when he was 11 from twisted gut, I had him cremated and his ashes are in a nice box with his pictures on it right here with me.
Beautiful dog, great dog. I really hope all dogs go to heaven!

He sounds like he was a wonderful companion and furry friend. I'm positive that he is in dog heaven as there is no such thing as a bad animal.

I had to have one of my little dogs euthanised three weeks ago as he had cancer, he was a beautiful 13 year old Yorkshire Terrier called Toby. I stood holding him in a blanket in the rain whilst the vet administered a sedative so he could be at peace and know he was loved before he drifted off.

They must have had different fathers to have different surnames,or am I missing something here?

Thank you  and yes they are family, especially in these difficult times and the current lockdown here in the UK. Their love is unconditional

Gentle hugs for you. It's so heartbreaking when we have to make that choice. It's losing your family and I don't think we ever fully recover from this.
