We use the right side of our brain a lot. Checking the time from the right arm is easier for us.

I do wear my wristwatch on my left wrist because I am right handed, because there is less chance of damaging the watch in my day to day activities, which I thought was why people wore their watch on different wrists. I notice some people also wear their wristwatch with the face inwards instead of the usual face outwards, (firstsaw this in American films, so could be a USA fashion) but I again thought is to protect the face of the watch. At the end of the day it could just be an individuals preference, I don't really know the answer to your interesting question. |

I wear mine in the left with the face bit under my wrist This is what I meant, the watch is worn on the inside of the wrist instead of the outside of the wrist as normal, it seems an American way, because I have not seen a wristwatch worn that way here in the UK. |

I've heard it say in a series that it's the way special ops or Seals wear their watch. I personally don't do it when I wear a watch -even though it looks cute- as it damages the glass. Plus the watches I have are wrap arounds and have pretty faux-diamonds etc on the clock side. |

Left Hand / Face Out - only wear one when I am out & about, not at home.
Its funny seeing this thread today as last night I was thinking about how I see fewer people wearing watches anymore. I concluded most people now carry phones and most phones have an easily viewed time. Thus, not a good Christmas present. |

I haven't worn a wrist watch in at least 20 years but when I did, it was my left arm. I never liked anything on my wrist or arm which is also why I don't wear bracelets.
