The cabin in the woods...for tranquility, understanding Nature, and privacy to be in-touch with my 'inner-self'. I've been an outdoors enthusiast all my life, and have camped in solitary places no one would wish to go, except those who truly do want to 'get away from it all'.

Cabin in the woods! I am not a water person!

Gotta choose cabin as I suffer terribly with seasickness

Cabin in the woods, the more secluded, the better.

Let's see...
I would like to live... ...In a modern cave home ...underwater ...in a habitat long-voyage spacecraft |

That does sound good .

Too many skeeters in the woods.
And a boat wouldn't hold all my stuff. Artists' loft in the city. |

Already chose..a cabin in the woods on a river in the high Sierra's
where there were still 15' snow drifts in June ;-) Caught the fish limit daily (10 pp) and trout for breakfast was the usual. Bears invaded the garbage. Pure heaven. |

How about you Robert, which would you prefer?

Secluded cabin in the woods next to a small stream deep enough for swimming and no where near any hint of civilization. I would need a 4x4 to use when going into a far off town for supplies.

I stayed on a sailboat for a couple of months when I lived in the Keys. There were lots of people who lived that way and just traveled around. It was okay, but very limited space and a pain always having to take the dinghy back and forth when you needed to go for supplies. Being on solid land is much better imo, at least then when there's a storm you can watch it rather than hanging on for dear life, haha, or having to batten down the hatches. |

Cabin in the woods sounds good to me! Hey we can be neighbors! |

I could not sleep in a small boat I would worry that a giant shark would eat the boat
A secluded cabin in the woods is likely to be broken into by a psycho with a chainsaw and mask on Can I have a 5* hotel instead ? |

Well... we haven't got woods that big that you'd be really secluded, haha.
Could go for the boat, but no frigging way would I live on the sea. I'd go mental. I can appreciate (fresh) water, but I prefer to have my feet on solid ground. I need trees and plants and things. I'm more like a forest fairy. So... cottage it is! |

60ft catch, with sails and diesel powered engines
as backup, should the wind fail. A sailboat, that's like a cabin I can move around. |
