I'm thinking that the season has definitely become Autumn here. Autumn? We just had a stinking heatwave that lasted a week and a half! Tomorrow's going to be a bit warmer yet again after 1 cooler day. Was it bad at your place? I know London had a heatwave too. OT - It's been a good day! Now it was finally cooler I could do some things and even have a short outing :) Now I'm thinking... Sleep! I know London and the South West of the country have had a heatwave but it's not happened here much. There's a steep North-South temperature gradient across the country. It is much warmer when you get into the flat Lancashire planes but most of the last three months have been cooler than usual here in the Lancashire Pennines and it now definitely feels like Autumn. The biggest exception was last week when it reached 30c briefly and it was difficult sleeping at night because it was too warm.

That would indeed make a big difference.
