The medical professionals in this time of pandemic have capabilities that are the most valuable in the world right now. We are so fortunate to have these folk along us.

They are human too. May the stress not get through to them.

I'm not impressed by them. Garbage men deal with more serious issues, but the story is not sexy. Everyone should grow up and reopen stores before we cause damage we can't fix.

Lots if beautiful and brave actions from different roles. Volunteers, cashiers, medical professionals, moms, dads, grandmas, mingle friends..... :-) beautiful things from dark times.

Oh jeeze, give me a break.. everybody is a hero, I get it. I'm a hero, you're a hero, we are all heroes… just keep sapping the energy from the word, soon it will mean nothing.

Every man and woman is the Hero in their own tale, even the villans .
Oh, do you think that this should be my next "quote of the day"?

Thanks LS for your kind wishes .. there are times stress can be a positive motivator .. but in the situation that many countries are facing .. it just contributes to fatigue and burnout . There are many on the frontline doing their part to contain the virus .. police ., fireman .. armed forces to name a few ., and many are Taking on additional roles and working long hours . Watching the armed force procession transporting deceased bodies in Italy was heartbreaking for me . They are my heroes . Also our elderly populations .. I have yet to hear much about how they are feeling and coping through this crisis . If you have elderly in your neighbourhood show them support .. make sure they are ok

To those who ridicule the value of frontline staff and what they do .. I invite you to come work in the hospitals .. I am sure we can find something for you to do to help pitchfork

Thank god for the septic pumpers, or we couldn't take a ****. A job is a job.

Thank you LS. While most of the world is taking a break right now (whether willingly or not), if we call in at the hospital we have to have a doctors note before we can return to work. Also, if anyone refuses to care for a patient, our licenses will be turned into the State Board...it’s kind of tense at work at times but we are thankful for our jobs and the opportunity to work and help in time of need...

Judging from your posts on this thread you sir are a pessimist. What are you going to do if you get the corona virus, get a garbage man to treat you because you are not impressed with the medical professionals? I have the utmost respect for anyone in the medical field right now.

Hi Blondey111 waving

It’s not the regulatory body that made this decision, but the hospital I am employed at. People were refusing to go into certain patients rooms and so this was what was reiterated to us from the top down.
