As I think I've said in another similar thread, I'm a fairly spontaneous gift giver. Often, if I see something that I think someone that I'm close to would like, I'll get it for them. It's sometimes a bit hit and miss but once given, it's theirs to do whatever they like with. .

I rarely buy gifts for others and really hate it when they buy little trinkets for me. What do you do with a piece of junk someone gave you that you have no need for or desire to have? I think people do it just to make them feel better about themselves!!

Whatever a person gives, should be from the Heart.
Could be a hug, word if encouragement. Doesn't have to cost unless a person doesn't mine spending money. |

Being years disabled and unable to work I used to fret about finding someone who would understand I need the money I get to live.
Then I found her. Most of the gifts I give her have nothing to do with money. When I met her she was stressed out. I taught her how to let that stress slide away. People that have known her tell me she is much calmer/happier since she met me. I give her comfort. I make her laugh, hard. I expand her horizons. I satisfy her sexually. I demand nothing from her. I am her friend and she is mine. I treat her with respect, not only as a person but also as a woman and a mother. I listen to her speak. I thank her for all she does for me when she does it. I do for her without fanfare. I accept her as she is. I teach her new things, new ways to look at life. I show her optimism is easy. We give each other the gift of change for the better. Gifts that last far longer with more meaning, than trinkets of affection. |

Best gift is spending time with those you care about... which money can not buy, and more precious then what money can buy~~

They gave me a cost of living raise in January. It is $32 per month. Basically, it comes out to $1 per day. I get just enough not to qualify for any assistance. But my bills are paid and I have plenty of food. Living in a beach town, the resaurants are around $20-25 a plate. I can no longer afford that but I can cook her a wonderful meal in my romantic apartment that she loves. I can buy flowers at the grocery store that are here when she comes. I like flowers too, ya know. Most of all, we smile when we see each other. |
