What freakin age do you live in.This is 2007.Obviousely I dont agree with what your post said. You don't have to agree with me, I'm not responsible for the goverment taking GOD out of everything. Nor will I stand Idly by while they try to put a woman over me.....

For those who know what I am talking about do you feel the way I do? Here are two Great REASONS why Hillary Clinton shouldn't be president!!!!!! 1.) 1st. Timothy Chapter 2 VS. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence! 2.) Gen. Chapter 3 VS. 16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over THEE! So is it OK for women to teach in high school? College? Adult ed? According to this - I guess not. We'd better be looking for a lot of new teachers and politicians. So many things in the Bible are cultural and time sensitive. Many verses can be taken out of context and mispplied. It always amazes me how some people latch on to a verse here or there, and disregard others. What about fasting? How many Christians observe fasting as it says to in the Bible. Jesus himself fasted, and that could be used as an example, but I don't know of many who follow that either. Why not? I can think of many reasons to either vote for or against Hillary, but none of them have anything to do with those scriptures.

Most of my teachers were women and they sure did suffer trying to teach me anything. I would have to give them an "A" for effort though.

Well the op has her beliefs but that doesnt work for me.In fact,I hope you have studied the issues and dont base your vote on two bible quotes which reflect the times in which they were written more than God's intentions ,jmo. Anyway I like Ron Paul.:)

The Bible also says that women are to keep their heads covered. I don't see a whole lot of hats . . .

Ya know, I am completely confused now. Who made the OP, man or wife? Who is looking for a woman? Who believes that a woman cannot lead: the man, the wife or both? I hate when I get involved in a discussion with such duplicity and confusion, there is no reason for it.

Just another example of Christianity being used to support bigotry prejudice and male-chauvinism. This is funny because we were just talking about how damaging Christianity can be in another thread and BINGO, up pops an example.
