I’m not big on planes or cities, so give me a road trip! Just go and see the country, maybe check a
band out somewhere cool like Red Rocks, visit the national forests, find a cottage by
the water, meet people, learn some history, breath some fresh air :)

Flying is a lot less pleasant than it used to be, that's for sure.

I'm curious where you mean when you say 'Red Rocks' since there are so many of those.

I fly, but it’s not my favorite. The Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, an awesome concert venue!

I love traveling. I've mostly traveled in the US but I've been to Mexico a couple times and Canada 4 times.

Up until a year and a half ago it had been a while since I traveled. Thanks to hurricane Irma I was able to begin again. Through seasonal work I've been able to travel to several places... Colorado a couple times, Tennessee, Mackinac Island and Traverse City, Michigan, New Hampshire, and I'm back in the Keys for the summer. I'll be going to Vermont in a couple months.

Just need a passport so I can go back to Canada and a few other countries in Europe.

I just happened to read that Vermont is one of the few light places in the USA. If you tune into it, you can become/feel one with yourself.
Maybe you'll feel that when there flowerforyou

Awesome... Maybe that's why I feel so drawn to go there. I've seen pictures of where I'm going and it's absolutely beautiful.

I'll do some reading about it and the energy there. Thanks Crystal flowerforyou

Majorca. Quick to get to, good cycling
Malta cheap , my mid winter break
Cyprus nice beaches lots to see
Madeira breathtaking scenery and not expensive
Southern Ireland , peaceful countryside, relatives there ,
Now retired working my way round the UK on weekend breaks

Southern Ireland? If you say this in certain areas of Dublin, you might end up swimming in the Canal laugh

Same for wearing the wrong colour shirt! ,I hate that city

It's not as bad as Belfast or Derry. But certain areas, especially the city centre are a no go area for me. I live in a quiet estate though.

Rio de Janeiro during New Year's Eve and during Carnival...The dance, the music, and the vibrancy of the people is incredible and addictive...Been at least 4 times and would go again...And the food...great!

Australia is my second choice...the friendliness of the Aussies just blows me away...love Perth and Canberra...Sydney is my third choice...learned how to drive on the wrong side of the road...and yes, i would definitely go again...

Paris, I've been there 4 times for a total of about 6 weeks but I'd go back.
I'm half French and half Irish bigsmile

Half of me thinks about drinking and fighting and half thinks about......well figure it out.

The old stereotypes are the best..drinksrofl

Yes, that's why I loved Australians as well :) They haven't lost their innate European roots and touch. It's like being home only the landscape, weather, and language are different. Oh, and as you mentioned, they drive on the wrong side of the road, haha.
I hope to go back as well one day :)

makes you want to travel so much more reading everyone's comments on here, my travels have been half as adventurous... lived in Spain for seven years and loved it, would definitely (will probably) go back one day.

Funny story about the Aussies and my first time in a bar...i ordered a Foster's...the whole bar said "Jesus Christ - Oh hell NO!"...they refused to give it to me and instead paid for my local beer the rest of the evening...

I did win good money at the casino in Perth...playing "2 UP"...

also if they still have the Manley Beach Jazz Festival and you like that kind of music, you will not be disappointed if the opportunity is there for you...

ok...throat's dry...time for a Powers Bitter...hahaha

I agree with Baster127. Road trips are the best. I don't like cities and avoid them when I can. Small towns and the country are what I like.

There is more poverty crime and slums in Dublin than in Derry and Belfast put together, I have lived there a few times, we still have sectarianism and some political violence at times but on the whole Belfast is one of the safest city's in Ireland, with beautiful people of all cultures..smokin winking
OT.. The Basque country..

Thanks guys for your interesting input the places I like is Taiwan and Washington
1. with Taiwan it has variety of delicious food and beautiful scenery and I really love listening to the aboriginal songs which has a special flavor
2. With Washington I love the atmosphere and many wonderful museums
I hope to visit them again with my loved ones
As one bro mentioned experiencing carnival in South America should be a lot of fun and I like to try different foods I watched it on TV
