Okay, the title is a wee bit off, but that song came up, I couldn't help myself bigsmile

Question: How much money are you willing to spend on a T-shirt on average?

And is your choice defined by your income, having to look a certain way for work, insisting on a brand, and so on?

Unless it is a football jersey, which are like 70 quid, I get loads of stuff in charity shops. Got nice shirts for a fiver already

I'd spend about £2 - £3, maybe £5 if it's ridiculously good.

I just pick based on what I like which is very plain solid colour or patterned.
I'm not a fan of any words or meaning on my clothes.

Don't get me started on brands, If I'm wearing branded clothing, the company should be paying me to advertise for them.

I thought of this question as I was browsing an internet shop for a T-shirt.
I saw one I kinda liked, it was 20 Euros, and I thought, bleep that! I'm not paying E20 (some 23 dollars) for a shirt!!!
I know that isn't even really expensive, haha.

Now for me it's partially due to my income, but I never really spend a fortune on one garment, unless... unless it is REALLY special, unusual, really 'me'. Then I don't care if I have to pay more, then it's worth it to me :)
So I do have some T-shirts/tops that were more costly but then they're not simple, regular T-shirts either.
I try to get regular simple shirts when they're on sale, haha. So under E10 (approx $12 if I can help it).

I go for cheep and cheerful. I only wear them as under cloths anyway.

Usually wear shirts. Hides the bulging biceps better. Bit past showing
them off. You know? :)

I like plain and boring clothes. I don't buy clothes to make a statement. I buy them because it's cheaper than going to jail for not buying them.

On average for a t-shirt, I'll spend around $13.00. That's because clothes are expensive, but anything cheaper would be more appropriate as nightwear.

Brand doesn't matter much to me. I buy based on quality and what I'm willing to pay.

Hold that, I think it was Guilders then..

I have a lot of t-shirts. It is mostly what I wear in warm weather. I live in the USA so I go by dollars and spend $5 to $15. I used to go on a lot of road trips and buy a t-shirt from every state I went to. That was my thing.

How much money are you willing to spend on a T-shirt on average?

None.
I haven't worn a t-shirt since I was in grade school and my mother bought me clothes.

is your choice defined by your income

Yes. But I find quality made clothes at goodwill and thrift shops.

having to look a certain way for work

No.

insisting on a brand, and so on?

Not so much "brand" as quality.
I have over 100 button down shirts. Some are 20 years old.
I'm discovering that quality and durability and fashionable is very difficult to find anymore. It used to be the standard.
I used to be able to assume quality with certain brands.
But I'm finding it's been a race to the bottom for most places.

And don't get me started on sheets, finding long staple for a reasonable price is difficult. I used to be able to find great sheets at great prices in discounts stores like tjmaxx. But now it seems everything is made by the same manufacturers that supply wal-mart. They just sew a different label on the inside.

I'll spend upwards of $30. USD
on a single t-shirt.
*IF* it's quality made.

I definitely am. Or perhaps it's just to warm for one.

I am willing to spend up to $2 on a tee, unless it's a band I like... then I might spend as much as $25. If you are a band who wants more money... give me long sleeves, a hoodie, or a jacket.

It depends, most t-shirts that I buy are just plain supermarket ones at about £5. Some of my Iron Maiden and The Expanse t-shirts are £20 to £25, so I guess it depends on what I fancy, not that many people get to see them. Well, this is England and even in Summer, the weather can be terrible happy
