I may be older (I will never say old) but give me a full spectrum camera and a haunted building and I would not be lonely. Lonely is a state of mind that can be alleviated to a small degree by how you deal with it.

This brings to mind a line from a movie I saw some years ago...one senior lady asked her friend who was bemoaning her age and divorce, etc...she asked her - Are you living or just existing?

Old, and lonely is very bad for your health both physically and mentally. Get out and find a life someplace!!

I will agree I'm getting older ~~ 60 now but lonely is not in my vocabulary I have a dog that keeps me company and 2 kids as well as 6 grand kids.. and I found something to occupy my time when they are not around. I bought me a trike and ride every chance I get..

All I can say is if your lonely get out there and find something you enjoy doing and go for it...

Life is too short.... do what you enjoy and get out there and do it...

hello john waving and a pat for your cute fury friend :/)

sadly , I think there are a lot of people in this world who do feel lonely as they age ., for many reasons . Some choose to be lonely and others are restricted in socialising because of ill health , family dynamics , geographical distance or financial reasons etc ., Most communities have social groups or friendly get together s for a coffee and chat ., they can be a good place to reach out and not feel so isolated . . Libraries have free computer use and usually a community bulletin board with local events .

It was a blustery day in the Hundred Acre Wood,
as Pooh sat there alone, missing Piglet.
But, damn! He sure was enjoying that bacon sandwich.
