Yeah I agree Blondey111 I don’t like rushed intimacy either. Only when she feels the time is right and some might be longer then others like me. I don’t mind holding hands or a simple gentle hug after a couple of dates (but then again I’ve never been on one). A simple kiss after a couple of months and a simple touch about or after 6 months.

If you are looking for sex only, you can just try.
If you're looking for a real healthy relationship with the lot it takes more. First of, it shouldn't be all about sex. Quite logical if you want a relationship with the lot.
How many dates depends on how often you date, how long the dates are, what you do and so on.
There is no default number of dates. If you have 4 dates over 4 months it doesn't mean nearly as much as 4 dates in 2-3 weeks.

The biggest factor in it all -provided you want a lasting healthy relationship with the lot- is having had enough emotionally bonding moments. Now this is basically the golden rule for sex, but I think there's not much difference with foreplay.
It would be so totally cool if a man has enough control and respects a woman enough to say "Gosh, I so want you, I so want to go further with you! But I'm not going to (try)/ask that of you because I feel it's too early."
