I believe words have power, especially when spoken out loud, so I do speak to myself often out loud. As Igor said, I dont know if I could say i hold a conversation because I dont answer myself out loud. But I do definitely speak to mentally 'condition' myself into certain actions or goals.

I know I do. I was shopping in the supermarket recently when I heard a small boy ask his mother, "who is he talking to?" I had commented to myself on the price of something, a bit embarrassing, probably a sign of living alone, growing old, and in this case rising prices. laugh

Otherwise known as talking to yourself..
Lol... do we all talk to ourselves in one form or another?.. I am constantly talking to myself ...eg).. what do I feel like having for dinner .. what am I going to wear today ...Now I try not to do it out loud especially in public..lol.. but I find I am my own best company for the most part..
So little curious.. does anyone else talk to themselves?.. and how often.?... and is this normal behavior.?.. that reminds me what am I going to have for dinner LOL

Every day... I'm my best friend and worst enemy, and at times a parent to the inner child inside of me. Like Blondey said, self dialog is normal. There were times when my self dialog was more destructive than good but as I became more comfortable in my own skin and loved myself more the dialog became more positive... either as a tool for self growth, making logical and responsible decisions, or just being silly as a way of amusing myself.

I remember years ago I'd feel funny if someone caught me talking out loud, a lot of people considered it crazy. Now I just tell them I'm talking to myself. Most of them laugh and admit they talk to themselves too. It usually ends with the two of us having a conversation that may not have happened if I hadn't been talking to myself first, lol

Hmmm... that could be a cool ice breaker in meeting someone, haha!

Yes it’s normal to talk to your self unless you answer your self than it’s ****ed up.
Like if you puff to much :heavy_check_mark::thinking::thinking:

Now I'm wondering, just how many of 'you' folks,
and the voices inside 'your' heads, have been diagnosed
as schizophrenic...

scared

When shopping I ask myself if I really need that?
Then I ask myself if I will use it longer than the cost of it. (will I get my money's worth?)

When I start feeling woozy or weak, I tell myself to sit down.
"Sit down Tom and let it pass" I say.

In dealing with my gf, I sometimes find myself reminding myself that she is her own person and has her own reasons for doing that. Then I ask myself if what she is doing is really important to our relationship and if it is, I then try to figure out how to let her know how I feel about it while still respecting her right to be her.

I am a reasoning living being, not a robot. Most of my reasoning happens within so, yes, I talk to myself all the time.

I find it amusing when in public and actually talking to myself when someone notices and actually answers for me or inserts a comment.
It usually makes me laugh out loud.

I would not call it lazy when I procrastinate...

I use to hardly ever do that ...
but now its just a time for me to slow down ...

I do yell aloud at the radio ...tv something I heard... I don't like ...

an sometimes... I just tell myself to shut the F*** up ...
do not think that way ...
