oooo, joy, rapture, IT'SSSSSSSSS ba----aaa--ck. The original of this thread has provoked much thought on my part of how to disprove this puppy in a way in which even your mind cannot dispute. I have given up on that fantasy. Be well, be happy! Other readers: Whether or not you can prove or disprove something - pick your battles. Some are worth the energy; others are just not.

Without thought or doubt, would a search be undertaken? Can a "fact" be born without some sort of doubt needing to be resolved?

"feistywench" was you not born without doubt that your existence was fact
By born, O' Word wrangler, are you referring to the birth of my soul or an actual physical incarnation? I haven't evolved to a point where I can remember the actual birth of my soul, so that will have to be an honest I don't know. This physical incarnation, I exist. All human children consider themselves the center of the Universe. How interesting as we grow we find out we are but a mere speck and then may or may not seek to find how best to coexist with other aspects of the same Universe. I seriously believe my first conscious thought was, "why did I agree to this?" The answers to that question grow as my ability to understand does. If I did not question, I would not seek answers. If I do not seek answers, I cease to learn. If I cease to learn, my mental growth would stop and then, I would not exist as I am.

Please discribe 'conniption fit'... I have simply not agreed with you assement of 'doubt'... Those that worship a god allways do what?

"AdventureBegins" those that worship a God always never answer the question

do you believe you exist or do you know that you exist

they do like you are doing ..evasion of the question while parrot-phrasing ..clearly a lack of faith

I have answered that question... Several times in this thread and others.

I am... Belief in or knowledge of EXISTANCE will not change that fact that I AM.

However simply because I am does not mean I actually exist. I might be a figment of my imagination.

However I still AM.

Therefore I am.

I might be a figment of my imagination.

That is impossible.

There is the "I" that is the "figment" and then you mention the "my" that is from the you who has the imagination.

In this statement you are speaking of two entities.

You cannot be the "figment" of your own imagination unless you (who has the imagination) exists.

since you didn't acknowledge any type of doubt about your existence then that would answer your question "Can a "fact" be born without some sort of doubt needing to be resolved?"

whic is why ..it's impossible to doubt one existence
