I prefer someone who appreciates a clean house but is okay with a house that's lived in... the coat doesn't always have to go on the hanger! |

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is not limited to tidy housekeeping.
People can be obsessively compulsive about anything, including disorder. I've met people that were obsessively compulsive to a messy workstation, messy desk, messy garage. For those people, cleaning and organizing was madness. The attribute that is scary about OCD is the "C" (Compulsion). Compulsions tend to override common sense and practicality. They cause a person's life to get out of control and out of focus. Everyone has a certain compulsion for things and most of us keep them under control. Its when they become Obsessive it gets bad. By the time it is labeled as a Disorder, chances are only professional help can allow someone to get a handle on it. Personally, I like organized and clean but I am not obsessive about it. |

I f you had to choose a person that is a Sloppy housekeeper
Or a person with OCD , which would you choose to be in a Relationship with? Why ? How sloppy are we talking? Like underwear stuck to the walls, and living with rats? And what kind of OCD? Just having OCD doesn't mean they aren't sloppy housekeepers. Other than that, what else is communicated in the relationship? I mean I would much rather live with someone that is a sloppy housekeeper that didn't complain when I demanded they spring clean, than an OCD person that constantly complained even when they were being all OCD with cleaning or whatever. Otherwise, if I had to "choose," then I would go all polyamorous and marry both the slob and the OCD cleaner so they'd balance each other out. |

Someone with OCD, because it's a health condition they have and it can be cured over time, a sloppy house keeper is self inflicted laziness and cannot be cured in my opinion. |

Someone who cannot stand any kind of Messes! BTW everyone that lives with cats is not a Sloppy housekeeper ! |

Demanding anyone to do it is pretty whacked. |

OCD is a chronic relapsing mental disorder often involving fear .. repetitive rituals/compulsions and control issues .. I would choose the sloppy person .. can always hire a livein housekeeper / manservant to follow him around the house
