For Life
A new series that seems promising (only 1 episode so far). A man who wrongfully ended up in jail, got life sentence. He becomes a lawyer and defends other inmates as he wants to help them get the justice they deserve.
He also hopes he can gather information that way to prove he was set up because he has a beautiful wife and daughter, and doesn't want to spend his entire life in prison.

So far I like it.

The Outsider another new series, based on a novel by Stephen King.
It is good but at times real slow. Just when you thing, sod this, something intriguing happens. It's quite freaky, not with gory chit, but the suspense, which is enhanced by the slow moving of events. Sometimes has me on the edge of my seat, leave! Go! Stupid woman/girl/man!! Leave!
That kind of chit, hihi.

The Pacifier movie with Vin Diesel.
Not his usual type of movie, it is action, but also totally hilarious at times. I loved it!

BBC did a remake of war of the worlds -or at least it was on BBC

I have watched the modern Battlestar Galactica series -and prequel Caprica many times.

The "Riddick" series of movies (Starting with "Pitch Black") rock if you like Vin and sci-fi

Walking Tall 2004 movie with Dwayne Johnson, loosely based on the story of sheriff Buford Pusser in the 70s. I did a bit of a read up on that story, dang. So sad!
Nice to see that his work and he himself are still being remembered at the site of the ambush where his wife got killed.
Gives more meaning & depth to the movie, which otherwise could be discarded as unnecessary violence. But it is actual based on facts. Unbelievable...

Call of the Wild
Not your regular action, but what a beautiful movie. It brought tears to my eyes a number of times, and now it's ended and I'm crying.
Absolutely worth watching!

I did see the 70s one, but I went for this version. I don't really like old movies.
And it was very impressive, especially knowing it's not a load of superficial crap.

HAve you seen Call of the Wild as well? My goodness, did that move me!
I was thinking, I can never go to the theatre anymore since I always end up crying, hihi. But this was worth getting my eyes wet over for sure.

but i will see it in the theatre.

as for walking tall the older ones are worth the watch because they do cover way more ground than the remake of the first.

Hmmm... but seeing that once is enough for me, especially now that I know it is based on facts. Even without knowing while watching it was upsetting. I have difficulty with injustice.

Oh, really go watch Call of the Wild!!
It likely won't be exactly like the book, that rarely is the case. But bleep, is it good! Which can be expected with Harrison Ford.

There is the risk of wanting a dog like that after you've watched the movie...

There is the risk of wanting a dog like that after you've watched the movie...

You do realize Buck is a CGI & dog mix, right?
http://www.rover.com/blog/call-of-the-wild-movie/

In 2020, Buck is played by a 51-year-old former Cirque du Soleil performer named Terry who was digitally transformed into a St. Bernard-Scotch shepherd mix. He walks like a dog, he barks like a dog, but β€” as many viewers will realize within seconds β€” he isn’t a real dog.

~ Then, Jessica Steele-Sanders, the wife of the movie’s director, Chris Sanders, found a rescue dog online: he seemed like a possible St. Bernard-Scotch shepherd, the same mixture of breeds as the novel’s version of Buck. She adopted the dog (who happened to be named Buckley), and soon, he was being scanned and photographed so that visual effects specialists could create a digital imitation of him.
