just finished The Copenhagen Test season 1.. lotsa action

pretty interesting actually.. definitely a thriller.. I give it 7/10.. cud be returning for a 2nd season.. not giving any spoilers tho

just started Young Sherlock S01 all 8 ep's dropped yesterday so you can binge S01.. so far ep01 was good, gonna watch more tonight.. each ep is almost an hour long.. I'm a huge Sherlock fan so hope this doesn't disappoint

I came in just to write down a few movies you have suggested to see if I can find them on Roku..

We shall see... Now I will admit I tried watching one of the John Wick series a few years ago but could not get into it.. I felt it was not reality.. if that makes sense. But I did put it on my list to check it out again.. At times what did not appeal to us in the past does later..

I totally get that.. same for the reverse too, today I might like a show or movie but tomorrow, next year it cud be a totally different story..

hopefully you can find what you're looking for on Roku..

I like Keanu Reeves as an actor (he's Canadian ya know ) and the John Wick franchise is action packed.. bloody, but action packed LOL maybe this time around you'll like it enough to watch all 4 that're out so far, #5 is in the works from what I understand..

I really liked John Wick but the movies have so many scenes with flashing lights that I cannot watch them.

Finally something to watch again that's really worth your time.

I'm watching The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin TV series and I'm having a bit of a time trying to get into it.. I'm a HUGE king arthur/merlin fan and anything dragons both onscreen and in books, but this show? not totally sold on it.. if this is what the written book series is like.. I am NOT reading it.. even IF it made more sense.. so far I give it a 4.5/10

Not surprised. I gave it a try. Struggled through the first half hour of episode 1, already fed up and bored.
I don't like that cast, nor their acting. it feels very fake, plastic, doesn't come across as natural.
The settings are weird too.
This is the kind of thing you should leave to the English to produce, not Americans.

I agree.. the British would have probably done a better job however.. depends on how the books were written, I haven't read them so can't speak to that.. but if its any way like the TV series.. it's crap, IMO

started watching Scarpetta S01 it's with Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicole Kidman.. I won't give any of it away however, I'm not really into the 'back & forth' of it all.. you'll better understand once you've watched the first episode.. still on the fence about this one tho.. for now

Paradise S02 is not at ALL like S01, starts out as a completely different story.. then finally catches up with the original one.. found that odd.. but we shall see how it unfolds..

I tried getting into Yellowstone but never really could however, I did watch the first episode of Marshals S01 and got drawn in.. action packed for sure.. we'll have to see if this goes anywhere for me tho.. if animals start getting killed, I'm OUT (yes, I'm aware no animals are actually hurt, it's just after seeing it, I can't UNsee that chit)

Ellis S02 has begun YAY.. if you like british cop mysteries, this is a good one to catch

I started watching it with S02, liked that, then watched S01. Had some trouble getting into that, but in the end liked it too.
Somehow never got to S03 although I do believe it's been out for some time now.

Marshals... not too sure about it yet.
Wait for episode 3 to decide hihi.

Currently watching 1883, another Yellowstone spin-off.
I'd tried that one before, but it started with her killing Indians and I switched it off.
I know it's part of history, but makes me sick to the stomach.
Now I managed to get past that scene and must say it is actually really good!

Funny you also couldn't get into Yellowstone. I know it was very popular, I tried it, didn't do it for me either.

no S03 yet, only S02 out currently over here..

got ep 2 of Marshals but haven't watched it yet.. working ma way thru S07 of Virgin River at the moment..

nope.. maybe because I see Kevin Costner more as a big screen actor than a TV show actor? not sure.. just couldn't get into it..

I thought you meant Beyond Paradise. That series has 3 seasons right now.

I liked Virgin River, wonderfully romantic, and it has David Cubitt in it who's so hotdanged attractive, hihi. But at some point I didn't like it anymore. Cannot remember why, been a couple of years. But somehow the storyline didn't work for me anymore. Didn't it shift from focus on romantic to focus on crime & violence with that group that Cubitt leads?

As for Yellowstone... I'm thinking the same thing, seeing Costner as a big screen actor.

Another thing is that many of those actors used to be attractive hot men, now they're old farts.
Like Harrison Ford in 1923, another prequel of Yellowstone. Not much Indiana Jones left in him now that he's in his 80s.
I find myself worrying he's going to break a hip when he gets on or off his horse, hihi.

Now watching episode 5 of 1923. It wasn't an easy one to get into either but it is getting quite good now. I do skip the bits where they beat up Indians. I really cannot stomach it.

My Favorite Thriller Movie This Year is "MERCY".
Its about the Future with "AI" Taking Over and the Hero Killing His Wife.

But I Wish They would do a Remake of the Box Office Smash Hit : "HOWARD THE DUCK".

Yup.. David's in it but not as a regular.. per se.. it's more back to romantic now with some drama of course and some comedy..

haven't seen anything of 1923 yet.. I kinda prefer my westerns on the big screen..
