A Mexican family moved in my neighborhood in March. There were two families and a grandpa. The Landlord has a couple rentals in the area and rents to. section 8. 5 kids and 3 adults in one story house. Not sure if they are illegals though.

I think the grandpa got a lady friend and moved out.

Sad how our government gives vouchers to people that easy who don't

A landlord can not just walk into a rented house. But a code officer.. can.. and should.

But it is also fairly easy to gauge how many are living in one house by the amount of bicycles outside because in Jersey they can't get licenses so they ride bikes.. to the muster zone and around town. times that by 2 ( spouse or girl friend), sprinkle in kids.. there is your number.

Another fail safe way is on garbage day. on average a regular family will put out 2 regular trash cans and one recycle. those houses have 4-5 regular out on the curb and at least 2 big recycling containers..one filled with empty Corona beer bottles ( I'm not kidding) and pampers.

You don't have to be Inspector Clueso to figure it out.

I live in a mostly white county so we don't have a lot of illegals. I've rented a 3br home to a family of 4. Then they moved all their friends in and I had to evict them which took weeks. Landlords can only control things to a certain extent.

If ice wants to catch these people, just go to the address their tag renewal is sent to. They have a driver's license and it's not hard to find them. They give an address when they are released when caught coming across the border. They give an address at the welfare office and when they sign their kids up for school.

Not to mention we aren't allowed to discriminate

And there are not any illegals I Know of mostly white few minorities.

Most all have cars. Only one man has a scooter but I think he cannot drive for some reason. In my area.

Chicago has so many undocumented immigrants and the mayor wants it to be a Sanctuary City.

Chicago and here ( greater NYC area) are basically the same.

one of my brothers is a fireman in NYC and when they are not putting out fires they are doing inspections on houses, apartments, commercial stores, ect and he has told me many times of unbelievable amounts of people in a house. .mattresses in every free floor space. ( especially in Queens for so reason) I ask him what he does then.. he calls immigration and the cops and then he writes a ticket.. a big fine.. to the landlord.

Ultimately it is the landlords responsibility to assure the houses or apartments they own are not being overcrowded and a fire or health danger. Maybe it is different in other parts of the nation.

I said it should fall on Landlords to check and see what's happening in /on their property. Even if there is no Law stating they have to.

Now a days it is most important, because of all these illegals.

All these people ok with illegals coming across our boarders should be forced to take in a family until they get legal papers or deported.
Get them out of the fences to their homes.

With No government assistance to help them out for taking them in, should be enough to change a few minds on the situation.

At least in my country Illegals cannot get a health card, drivers license or Temporary SIN # .

I don't know how Georgia's rental laws read. In Indiana, we have something called immediate seizure of property. That works much faster than eviction. A landowner can seize his property in ten days. The order is easy to obtain, and the tenant has to vacate the property, once the order is presented. Not many landlords know about it. I found it for a landlord friend of mine. All the tenant has to be, is ten days late with rent.

He didn't think it was possible to do it that fast. I put it together for him. Then, A sheriff deputy and I presented it to the tenant. He thought he had thirty days. Ten days later, I changed the locks. He hollered bloody murder. The same deputy handled the complaint, there wasn't anything the tenant could do. And, since I had to unlock the house, he had to vacate, while being watched.

I helped him do that one other time, and two other landlords I know have taken up dealing with tenants that way.

I'll check into it. I can give them notice to move if they are 1 day late on rent or any breach of contract but I have to go through the court for a writ.

Im guessing convenience and geography may play more leading roles than whatever Canada's immigration reputation might be.

That, and the fact that the Russians and Chinese gangs have that on lockdown
